I was 10 in 1965 and this came on TV one day as I sat and watched it alone in the room. I remember hearing the beautiful music for the first time and I remember crying. At the end of the movie my older brother came and saw me, and I was so embarrassed because boys weren't supposed to cry, but he was so comforting to me. RIP Steve, you were a good brother. All of my life I have been and am so alone.

Something he shouldn't have done although his intentions were good because he wanted to provide for his wife and child they were expecting. Sadly😥he went about the wrong way and didn't live to see his daughter.

I'm in pieces! The first time I saw this film which is my all time favourite I was an impressionable 12 year old in 1956 and howled all the way through "If I loved you" the first time and at the end where I was damned near hysterical! Watching this again I became that 12 year old again and sat howling my eyes out loving Gordon MacCrae who I always thought had a wonderful voice.

I didn't notice that with Julie, but was very obvious with the guy from 'Heaven', when he walked past Billy at the very end, and the setting sun way off to the right, Just like the cock-up with the studio filming of the Moon landing, shadows crossing all over the place. Very un-pro.

BILLY CAME BACK FROM HEAVEN TO TEACH HIS DAUGHTER A LESSON SHE SO DESPRETLY NEEDED. HIS DAUGHTER WAS KIND OF FEELING SORRY FOR HERSELF BECAUSE EVERY KID IN TOWN KNEW WHAT A BAD MAN BILLY WAS AND HOW HE DIED. BILLY WAS TRYING TO TEACH HIS DAUGHTER THAT REGARDLESS OF THE MISTAKES HE MADE HIS DAUGHTER HAS TO STAND ON HER OWN TWO FEET.
@Manny296 жыл бұрын
amin sadeghpour billy wasn't necessarily a bad man the thing is in the movie they called him a wife beater but he hit his wife accidentally out of frustration not anger because he couldn't find a job and provide and they also called him a theif when in reality he only stole because he needed to provide for his child and sadly it resulted in his death that's all apart from that everything else in your comment seems okay
