Great video! Thanks for sharing all these details. This is on our list to visit this year! Didn’t know they had ice skating! All the lights are spectacular! I grew up with color lights and my wife grew up with clear lights, so our tree has lights that can do both and whoever turns on the lights gets to pick whether it’s clear white or color! I think the stars you mentioned are called Moravian stars. They are common in our area with Moravian town of old Salem.

Yes Hill, you're referring to Thunder Road! They removed it few years ago. Carowinds is nice. I lived on the SC side for 15 years... 10 min away was my house. I could hear the force of one of the coasters as it dropped. Anyway, lotta fun there. 😊

There used to be a racer type roller coaster on the state line. You could choose which side you wanted and be in one state or the other. Also if you make a purchase on the north Carolina side, the tax is higher. Just a tip when you go. You guys should come up to ohio and go to kings island.

We live just outside of Raleigh and this year, my wife and I visited Dollywood for the first time. We've been three times so far and already have our Diamond Passes for next year. Your videos have been truly helpful. We've done Carowinds quite a bit over the years but I think you'll agree Dollywood gets the nod over Carowinds once you've been during a typical day. It's a great park with some great rides but we think Dollywood is better. Dollywood has become our Disneyworld replacement.

Fury 325 is quite a ride. The lights sure are pretty. It looks like a great Christmas festival. Like you Ryan i like all white lights. We have all white lights on our tree and on our house. I have had the Crab Fries at the beach. They are very good. Thanks for another great adventure. Great memories.

We have not gone to winterfest at carowinds, but we go to kings island multiple times each season. Maybe one year we will make it to carowonds. We have gone several times in the summer months.

I loved all the lights at Carowinds! Beautiful. We have an artificial tree that has both white & multicolored lights so we can alternate if we wish. If you have a live Christmas tree, I think you can purchase lights with the same feature. Maybe that could solve your dilemma. 🙃

I vote for Micah’s snowman. I am with you and Micah I would not ride Fury 325. Disney is my favorite park. Speedway in Lights at Bristol Motor Speedway has an ice rink and they have it indoors. You can also step in two states in downtown Bristol VA/TN.
