carp is a common fish in bangladesh , there are many types of carp like carp , grass carp , silver carp , bighead carp etc . there many lakes in bangladesh and its capital . dhaka is the capital of bangladesh . its lake city . dhanmondi is famous for its lake . it is best place of catch carp fish with others fish . it is nearest location for people of dhaka for fishing . people go for fishing in certain day and buy ticket and choose best place or point for fishing . they take fishing rods , fishing food ,fishing line , fishing hook , fishing lures , others fishing gear with them . dhanmondi lake of dhaka is smaller than great lake of usa , canada , uk , australia , taxus .
In rural areas, in seasonal waters or beels, during winter, people can be usually seen fishing with different traditional gears while some even do so without any gear. life in the village is beautiful.

The fish contributes about 12% of the total fish production and about 1% of GDP in Bangladesh. About 450,000 people are directly involved with the catching for livelihood; around four to five million people are indirectly involved with the trade.[1] It is also the national fish of Bangladesh. Hilsa fish ( Ilish in Bengali), has been accorded geographical identification (GI), which has tagged the fish as a Bangladeshi product from August 2017
