Yesterday at 7.30am on my little pond on the green 5 min from my house. My own little spot. Never seen anyone on it. Was a stunner of a day and managed an 11lb common in 2 hours. I maybe a lucky one. Canal river biss and river avon around my home. Short sessions on the biss chasing pike pearch or chub. Sometimes only a couple of hours. Walk the stretch a couple of times. two six foot rods. Within minutes i can be fishing. Grandchildren love it. Another good video. Remember its called fishing not catching. As i say i prefer a blank when fishing compared to not going out. Tight lines for your next outing..

Last time i was on a short session was back in October. It wasn’t one short session but lots. We had hired a riverside cottage had had a few hours each day after the day out and mainly fishing bobber type floats with worms for the perch. I caught a fabulous perch, landed it, picked it out of the net when it then proceeded to flip, stab my finger with its gill cover and flipped straight back in the river! No picture, no weight. Tight lines.

Decided not to go for the carp for a change and went on a general course lake and fished worms for perch. Had a mega few hours, landing 3 2lb + perch and a few 3lb + ide. Last Saturday my 9 year old boy wanted to go fishing so I took him down to my local club lake, on the way there he gave me a 5 fish challenge, it's was 12.30 by the time we arrived at the lake and we could only fish until 3.30 so we had 3 hours to catch 5 fish, we settled in a swim on the corner of an island next to a set off dying off lilly pads, within 1 hours we had 3 mid double commons so it was looking good to complete the challenge, well the next hour was dead so we decided to head down the other end of the lake where we see some avivity but nothing come off it, only having an hour left off our mini session decided to get the stalking rod out and fish the back water which runs around the lake. Freelined a nice big lump off bug paste under an overhanging willow produced 2 lovely chub off around 3lb, challenge completed!! Me and my boy both went home with a big smile.😁🎣.

My shortest session was on Brixham harbour breakwater. I was targeting mullet. There's some good fish there. The mix was made mashed bread. The float was cast. The spot a definite result. Ok I f**ked up. Throwing a mass of mashed bread around the float brought in every massive seagull in Devon, And yes the biggest got caught in the line. So being now watched by all the tourists I had to wind in the humongogull and free it from the line wrapped around it's leg. The gull kicked my ass. Blood pouring from my hands and humiliation. It was like I was attacked by a golden eagle. Note to self don't do that again 👎
