The Quarry in Essex is a day ticket water thats not to be sniffed at. Saying hes never fished a day ticket water likes its an achievement!

Jason I love this video, I fished them two waters in 1982, only catching a few mid doubles, but they were immaculate. For me the carp have to have perfect mouths. And like you say some day ticket waters that are seriously overstock, in my opinion is venturing on cruelty. I had a long chat with Alan Taylor once, whilst fishing rainbow lake and saying if these fish were cats and dogs the RSPCA would shut the place down, but there is no controlling of how much overstocking a water can be where carp are concerned, which I feel is very sad.

Lovely bloke makes a good cup of tea, a really good angler that makes our pastime great. Works very hard for his results and makes sacrifices many would not His hooks will give you a big edge too! www.sshooks.co.uk/

When i was on Wraysbury 1 i used to walk the mere at least once a week thinking about the black mirror but they had banned fishing on there its a nature reserve now, I was gutted when she died.

Chris Bradley did it get sssi status before it turned into a nature reserve? Coombe Abbey is looking more like that now, with no one fishing or only a handful of people willing to stick it out, it's almost like the council and the park want no one up there since this shitty sssi, the fishery has been ruined in the last ten years with silk weed and the rest of it, real shame these types of lake soon won't be fishable
