Great video, it's amazing how blind-sided people get by commercial groundbaits etc. I make my own boilies, or use corn with a pack bait made from Bread, Sea Salt, Corn, Garlic powder & chilli powder. It works wonders in comparison to many commercial baits that I have used over the years.

Carp fishing is very much based on chemical feeding triggers, and it just so happens that we consume alot of foods that have the desired effect on the carp! Fun is key, if it's not fun, you're not fishing!

Couldn't agree more. My favourite groundbait base mix is a box of Vitacat Tuna and Herring cat biscuits (from Aldi - 85p) ground down and mixed with garam masala powder and coconut flour. Mix in some sweetcorn, some crushed hemp and bingo! Bream love it.

Great vid mate. I got back into fishing last summer and have always been a float/luncheon meat angler. Ive since bought a carp setup and some rigs for legering. I had a go last weekend with spicy sausage pellets from a tackle shop which cost £8.99 for about 50 pellets. Ill definitely be taking the missus shopping for some ready oats and maybe some garlic sauce and hotdog sausages :)

do you always chum in such a tight spot and so close to the bank?
@Carlfishing7 жыл бұрын
Billy The Bass Assassin it all depends if that where the fish tend to feed. So not really. This fishery in the video is an old match fishing lake and fishes best at night. The carp waits until nighttime to feed after the matches have finished. Then the anglers went home. They would put their unused baits in the side after fishing the match.

Very nice video! Well done on a few fish as well. 👍👍 there is a method here in the U.S. that a lot of people use called "packbait" but its meaning is anything that is thrown together that can adhere to the lead arrangement or to the hookbait. But it usually consists of mostly bread crumbs, cream style corn, oats, and sometimes but not always a flavoring agent of either store baught or commercialy sold fishing bait flavors. And as another person on here suggested us "retarded americans" use this method a lot. But what youve shown in the video is more akin to a groundbait or method mixture but still i appreciate the fact that yes, its all items that end up in pellets or are from a package. I just never here it all being reffered to as "packbait" because like i said above. Here its meaning is something else. But well done sir, nice video and nice fish! 👍😁
