Great fish, do carp come in the margins in winter or stay in the bottom of lake?

hi mate, weather play a massive part in this. each lake is different, depending on depths etc.. if we get a good spell of sun during the colder winter months- jan-feb .. defo look to the margins...they warm quick & carp will head there to take advantage of the warmth. Also pre-baiting can set you up go a good winter campaign, keep the fish in an area, letting them become custom of finding a free feed ''your'' spots.
