don't mind one bit when you are carp fishin....did a lot of it in the early 1970s with no boat, just bank fishing the Fox River in SE Wisconsin...one night a bite and run across all 3 other lines took them ALL right in the river... jumped in, in the dark, and rooted around holding 1 rod up, and eventually found the other 3....way too closely spaced.....FUN FISHING!

I lost a rod in a local lake for about a month, lucky for me it got snagged by someone by the dam, bout quarter of a mile from where it got pulled in. And luckier yet a friend was working at the bait shop and the guy that snagged it was talking to him. Got my $100 setup back for 20 bucks that my friend bought it off that guy for.

Haven't carp fished in years. Quick story. I was in college in1984. I went to our local creek to carp fish during spring break. I had one on and it was a great fight. Some guy from across the creek waded across. He asked to help land the fish and I said no thank you I'll get him in. He insisted and grabbed the line. The carp ran and the hook came out and right in his thumb. He started yelling at me about the hook. I told him I didn't want him to grab the line. We did catch some big carp out of the creek. Now I'm nearly 60 and mainly trout fish. Great times.

The pack bait item you need looks like a coilspring type. And when you're entering a place to carp fish throw 3 or 4 hands full of your bait to chum the area. And I do use small carp as bait for cats cool spring ones work great for me. Have fun.!! 🍻

I toss out a small handful of corn and broadcast it in a spot in front of me, then I use corn on a bobber. I have enough weight to keep the bait inside the area I broadcast the handful of corn. Now I have the bait on bottom and bobber laying on its side. When a carp grabs it, the bobber will stand up and start moving off. That's when I set the hook. A lot of times you can see the bobber dancing around when carp are near it. That's my go to for lake carp fishing.

Catching the ole Bugle Mouth Bass!! Fun to fight them but that’s about it! You can cook them on pine board on a fire, and throw away the carp and eat the board. 😆🤪

It’s called a bolt rig because of it’s self hooking properties,the short link hooks against the weight as the Carp moves it’s hard or lip.

my grand parents took us kids fishing here in Missouri and they would can then with just a pinch of salt and a little vinegar and pressure cooked them and in the winter or if they had company they would make carp patties it tastes just like salmon patties the bones resolved it's very good no bones we had a lot of fun catching. them we used wheaties and strawberry jello. and mad balls out of it it was tuff bait and the carp loved it

Looked about a 13/15lb common carp,once you get into 30 pounders it gets really fun,especially if you have to play them in snaggy water. I’m British,you should check how we fish for them here,different ball game.

Ive been following for a long time. I seen the rod break and glad you got a new rod . I also seen the live stream earlier yesterday and the way I fish is a Carolina rig with a size 6 eagle claw treble hook with a spring on it. I don't like the method lead either. Good luck and tight lines.

I’m up in ny and the water is just starting to finally start bumping up in temps for spring fishing. Carp are still awful slow moving and really need to sight fish them still and get the bait within a few feet of them to actually get them to move to you. Frankly that’s how most of the fishing is for me right now but getting ready for them bullhead to start moving up the creeks and rivers! Nice fish man keep up the content!

Carp are so overpopulated in eastern NC, our wildlife staff is going to stock that river(forgot the name), with bluegill. The bluegill will eat the eggs the carp lay, which I didn’t know !

Take an unhooking mat with you when you fish. Carp give great fun but we need to be respectful that they go back in the same condition they came out in. That stone bank is pretty un forgiving on carp scales. Wouldn’t go fishing without one in uk.

Don't forget that Carp eat other fish's excrement. We threw them in the woods. They are invasive. But they are alot of fun to real in.
