You can put the pack bait in freezer between carp trips. It keeps great. It will almost thaw by the time you get to the fishing hole.

Re the turtles - bring them in with the net then flip them on their back to control them. For the snappers- give them a glove to gnaw on so you can SAFELY remove the hook. I have landed several 40+lb snappers while fishing and have been able to get the hook out AND keep all my digits. Key is keeping turtle on its back and give them something to gnaw on (occcupied) while removing the hook. Once hook is out- flip them rite side up and they will bolt for the water 😁

Hey love your videos. I’m from Europe but I live in Georgia USA those carp fish you call a mirror carp are not even close to mirror carp 😂 google mirror carp . The real mirror carp literally dose not have any scales. Except some on the top and bottom of his body. Sometimes some through out the middle like latteral line or such . lol but keep up the good work I appreciate it!
@KayakCatfishКүн бұрын
“The name mirror carp originates from their scales' resemblance to mirrors.” That quote is directly from google along with tons of images that look like the fish I caught lol.

I love catching a big old bugle mouth, but just because they aren't damaging the ecosystem doesn't mean they aren't invasive. There is no carp native to North America. Here is a link to an article by the USGS. www.usgs.gov/faqs/what-are-invasive-carp
@KayakCatfishКүн бұрын
If you go back far enough in time, humans are invasive to North America too

Hello Justin, I’m thinking that the material that you’re talking about is also used in drag racing. I raced for a few years. I think it’s carbon fiber

Talking about your bait setting in water due to the ice melting, try using freezing water in quart or half gallon jugs to place in your smaller coolers. Also, that was a BEAST Blue. Haven't seen you catch on like that in a while Great video. Keep them rods bent. Let's go Justin.
@michaelc9313Күн бұрын
Only time I've ever caught small carp, was when I chummed the water with corn. I also used a bobber set up on a light action rod, size 4 hook, maybe a foot below the bobber. Water was fairly shallow. EDIT: Only happened twice, I caught one, then my daughter caught one.

Put a bait in the super skinny water where the larger fish would be bringing their backs out of the water to get it and you might get the smaller fish for bait .

My favorite fishing shows have always been the ones where they are always targeting different species. You would be surprised how many times you see a technique and think " I could use that type of thing on another species " or "if I downsized that rig a little......"

I’ve been quiet for several months. I like all your videos. Im a happily retired Respiratory Therapist from Central California. I like to watch your videos because you talk a lot and explain what you’re doing in detail and I appreciate that. I like the carp videos to variety to your skills. You recently won a tournament which you won some serious money. Congrats for that. If the fishing license fees weren’t so costly, I’d still be fishing. But I’m almost 75 and would much rather relax and watch other KZbinrs show off their skills. Keep up the awesome videos. You are much appreciated.
