Hi Robbie. Firstly thanks so much for a great series on your youtube regarding your carp fishing ,I have now got to the last one all 114 of them. Its taken me a couple of weeks, sadly my mother passed away 2 weeks ago aged 87 in the old country. May I just say to you that watching your carp videos, listening to your jokes, and happily fishing with your family has kept me going through my period of mourning. It really has helped me a lot. I shall be back as you are reading this, I havent fished in the UK for 33 years now but am hoping to get a couple of days in. I shall float fish targeting roach, rudd , and if lucky a Tench or a carp. God bless you and family mate, your fishing channel is awesome :)

Thank you so much for your kind words Robert. Please accept my condolences for the loss of your mother. My mother inlaw passed away last week and we have the funeral this Friday. She was 72. I am truly blessed to still have both of my parents, both in their 70s but going well. Good luck fishing back on the old country, I hope you catch the fish of a life time. 👍👍

Ohh yeah they are! Shame they’re such a bugger to cook to an edible state. They put up a good fight and are usually the first thing people catch. They’re fished for the sport and harvested for fertiliser (charley carp) in Australia. I have been fed some which was cooked by an Ukrainian grandmother which was pretty good but lots of little bones.

@TheCaptainbeefylog2 жыл бұрын
@@robbiefishing from friends overseas I've learned that they tend to keep them in a basin or even the bath tub for a few days to flush them out. The fillets are sort of a fillet within a fillet to dodge the bones. Then it's a case of soaking the meat in buttermilk (not sure why - something about enzymes) before seasoning/marinating it. I still think they'd taste like old shoes, but each to their own.

Hi mate, no need for me to look up the rules at all, I am fully up to date with carp laws. I fully realise the carp rules for NSW and ACT. I am not in those states though, I am in Victoria.
