@ well for the snes, it’s a sampled chord of a pad. Therefore only needing two channels for the chord backing instead of like 4-5, if they were individual note samples.

Miyamoto to Plok in 1993: How the HECK does this game work?! ✨✨ Miyamoto to Plok in the present: Who’s Plok? 😕 Maybe I should’ve worded this comment differently.. basically, apparently, while licensing the game, Shigeru Miyamoto was actually absolutely astonished at Plok’s soundtrack. Also, DK Country’s ost was partially inspired by Plok’s. And nowadays? Nobody among Nintendo even gives a single darn about Plok, anymore. 😠
