He does his own thing, which is a bit hard-edged or heavy and sometimes brings in gross dubstep, but is very original, intelligent, and pretty clear about what he wants to do. There are also Mitch Murder and Dynatron, my two favorites, Powerglove (FC3 spinoff music), and to roughly complete the taste bases, Lazerhawk. Also, there is the Master Spy soundtrack by RAC.

It’s like a madman playing an abandoned organ during the apocalypse.
@JG-on2wx4 жыл бұрын
Imagine you survived an apocalypse and you think you're the only one. You wander through the streets and lands, searching for food, shelter and other survivors. Your hope for the latter fades more and more with every passing day. Then, as another fatal storm approaches, you search for a place to hide and stay until it is safe again. As you are arriving at an abandoned, mostly destroyed village, you suddenly hear a strange noise. It sounds like music, something you haven't heard for a long time. And it's coming from a church, the only building of the village that's still standing. What will you do?

i can think of a monologue going through the music as a camera switches to numerous scenes that invoke despair. _Rise! They are here to free us from our decaying realm! Take it as a salvation! It is salvation!_ *A man is holding a door shut against a group of undead as they break in just as the scene switches* _God himself is calling to us! He wants to set you freeee!_ *Two people fighting to the death on a car, eventually the other falls off into a horde of zombies* _This is your one true calling, what are you waiting for? Come and set yourself free!_ *Just as a few flesh eating maniacs break through a barricaded doorway, a man shoots himself in the head*

When I first really got into carpenter brut, I actually didn’t like this song that much at all. To say the least, my opinion has very much changed. This is easily one of my favorite songs of his, and I keep finding myself coming back to it. The whole feel of this is unlike any of his other tracks, and has much more of a “story” to it than most others. It feels kinda off or insane at the beginning, but then that badass drop kicks in at 2:40, and oh my god it’s the best thing ever. Then they slowly fade out and have this energetic tone till the rest of the song, I love it. Overall, I love this song, and I continue to believe that carpenter brut is one of the most underrated artists ever.

It sounds like a climax of some epic series. The protagonist stops for a second and closes his eyes to reminisce every dire situation he has been through, every sacrifice he had made before making one last effort to deal the final blow and vanquish the evil once and for all. We, as spectators, can witness in short span the fast sequence of all of the memories we've made along the way.

There's a core realisation, an all-empowering answer to life. Nobody knows what it is, not even our protagonist, but the epic horns that build up from 4:03 onwards offer a glimpse at it's outline, and this is where our protagonist enters the flow state of true oneness with the universe and makes the final run to defeat his demons. If you listen closely, you can hear an echo of that theme, before it get's drowned out by the rest of life. It was there all along, but cutting through the noise to get to it takes a lifetime.
