Good tour and trailer. It’s simply built but practical, allowing you to see all your tools and supplies.

Damn good setup... watching this knowing I need to step up.... ugh just unloaded my tools in the rain from the back of my f-150...

Good, functional trailer. Nice to see something that isn’t so “refined” as you called Ron Paulk’s trailers. Thanks Joe Handyman!

Great set up! One suggestion for ya: get a spare tire holder for the tongue of the trailer for the spare. Gets you more of your 12 feet available inside.

9:40 A great benefit of bins instead of drawers that you can see the stuff (also you can just reach in)
@drewclancy51744 жыл бұрын
I like to set the bin on the countertop to grab what I need and then put it back in place. It’s like having every drawer in the trailer right in the most convenient spot. Thanks!

Your set up is great, I'm also a trim carpenter, other set ups the tools are too hidden. And with yours you get to the jobsite, and you're able to setup and get to work.

Thanks Gilbert Matty, I’m currently building out my new 6x12. I appreciate the input because I’m looking for the aspects I want to carry over to the new one 👍

I like the shelving and choice of materials. Can you please tell me if your shelving corners and cross members are 2" x 3" or 2" x 4"? Also, how thick is your plywood for most of your shelves? 1/2"? 5/8"? Thanks.
@drewclancy51744 жыл бұрын
SiQuestForensics thank you. All tops and shelves are 5/8 CDX. Everything is sanded and got a 1/4” round over. I felt 3/4 was overkill for the short spans and counter top depths but I did use it for the cleats. Dividers are all 1/2” and the rack for the stands is all 2x4, some ripped to fit.

Can I use a jeep compass to pull a trailer like this?
@drewclancy51749 ай бұрын
A Jeep compass should be more than capable as long as the trailer is not overloaded.

About how many sheets of plywood did you use on that? Absolutely love it! Just bought a 5'6"x10 yesterday and your video was my favorite setup and about the same size
@drewclancy51744 жыл бұрын
Thanks Tim, I think I used six sheets. 19/32 Rtd. sheathing. Works great for a trailer this size with 16 inch deep shelving. Good luck! I’d love to see how it turns out.

What length screws did you used to attach to the walls of the trailer so as not to penetrate all the way through?
@drewclancy51744 жыл бұрын
On this trailer the metal wall studs are about an inch thick. So for 1/2” ply, 3/8” batten strips and 3/8” wall panels i used 1-1/2” screws.

curious about your old HF trailer. Looks like you swapped wheels/tires to larger size, did you swap the axle also?

Can you stand in there? And how tall are you?

This particular trailer has an interior height of 5’8” so fairly low.

Nice job dude, just curious, do you need a ladder to get your ladders down? I also like the bins you used, will probably use them myself. Do you know you kind of sound like Billy Bob Thornton?
@drewclancy51743 жыл бұрын
😆 first time I’ve heard that. Yes, I use my 4’ ladder to climb up top but am bolting some brackets on so that’s no longer necessary.
