I just purchased a Nissan NV200 and I plan to do exactly the same thing you did with your interior. And I plan to do it because I was very impressed with the results that you got. But I live in Japan and getting materials to either more difficult or more difficult, and often both. So my life would be so much easier if you could tell me how many yards/meters of that of the 2m 4-way stretch material you used. I’m guessing either 5 or 6m. Perhaps 6 bc you probably too the material for the roof ribs from the end. Same help would be appreciated for the reflective foam, although I am having a real problem finding a place that has it in stock AND will ship internationally. Back to watching your videos. I’m sure you know I find these extremely helpful.

Hi, thanks for the comments, glad you like the van build. I bought 5m of carpet for the walls and 4m for the doors, but had a fair bit left over of maybe 8m in total would be better. But if you have the van definitely measure yourself before buying, good luck with your build!

Beautiful job. I just bought a 2015 Nissan NV 200 and would love to do the same. However I’m not a handyman and have very little patience lol So I’d hire someone to do this but I don’t know of anyone in my area who could do that.

Thanks, I found it required more patience than skill, but I'm sure there are companies around that can do it - good luck with your van build!

Well done it looks awesome! I was just wondering if you have had any issues with water soaking in via the door seals as you've wrapped the material around the edge to the outside of the lip of the door frame?

Is that insulation better than armaflex, or why did you use it?
@JorgeMoralesLuiz4 жыл бұрын
hi first say i love the work you are doing with that nv200 looks great. But I have a question, when you put that carpet you do not have the concern that with the condensation mold will be generated in it? In other conventions, they are very careful to use water resistant materials to avoid that, I do not know if you have taken it into consideration.
@LensOfJames4 жыл бұрын
Hi, condensation was most definitely taken into consideration. I had stayed overnight in the van many times prior to carpeting and so know where condensation forms. I added insulation in those areas before carpeting so that it won't be a problem. Also, please bear in mind that I only use the van as a camper for a few weeks each year, so it isn't constantly exposed to condensation.
@JorgeMoralesLuiz4 жыл бұрын
@@LensOfJames Thank you for answering me, I want to camper my Citroën Berlingo but on the issue of insulation, ventilation and condensation I find contradictory information, I suppose because of the difference between people who live in vans and those who use them some weekends as I intend. Perhaps the best thing is to do what you have done, go for a weekend with the bed furniture (which is the only thing I have made, and see what happens. Thank you very much.

Hi Erik, before doing this conversion I spent quite a few nights in the van with my partner, and we both thought it was really cosy! I see what you mean, and if I had a bigger van then I'd definitely want windows, but I don't feel any need for them at this stage.
@MrElecterik4 жыл бұрын
@@LensOfJames I totally understand, a big plus is that without windows, that your camper is not notable as a camper outside so you can easily sleep in a city at every parking place :-)
