I agree. It's not something I would buy for myself. But for someone that doesn't want to spend a lot of money or need to communicate with other users? It's fine for listening to music or getting GPS directions or even phone calls. Sometimes people just need the minimum and don't want to pay for features they don't need. So yeah, I myself don't use it. But I could see how others may find it useful

@Mudslidex1

It's legit. I was a little hesitant at first when I learned about TuneECU. But I guess the creator doesn't want to go through the Google Play store and have them take a cut of his profits so he does payment on the side. I do have to say that he's very responsive and process the payment and license quickly (at least when I did it a couple of years ago). But it is a legit program and the creator does process the request and responds in a timely manner

It's a design flaw that definitely needs to be addressed but isn't terrible depending where you live. Here in the New York its not too bad except for the couple of REALLY HOT days we get in July. After that, it's bearable and actually welcoming the rest of the year. But if you live in hot climates then this would definitely be an issue. Either way, Triumph should redesign the airflow

Hi Joe, ive tried quite a few intercom systems for helmets, but ive used them on different helmets also, different helmets can actualy change the sound of the intercoms, so giving an acurate comparison is not always easy, but like you i definately ,the cardo systems have always done the job for me, i now favour the cardo freecom x4 , slimmest in the series and has the great sound also.ive tried some cheap models and found many of them pretty good ,even thoug they are usually poor build. i now use only Shoei and Arai helmets with the cardo for max effect. thank anyway joe, great review

Thanks for watching and commenting. Yes, I agree as in most things in life, you do get what you pay for. My go to setup is my SHOEI helmet and Cardo. BUT..... As you know it comes at a cost. I'm just glad we have options as some people may not need a fancy coms system or it may be for occasional use or just for vice navigation etc.. So it's good we have options and pretty good ones too that won't break the bank. But yeah, the more expensive products are definitely better quality and performance, but it does come at a price. People just need to figure out if the cost justifies it for themselves. Thanks again and safe travels!

Hello on the "accessory" socket do you think we can directly connect a fog light kit? instead of connecting it to the battery, because we don't have any more + after contact!! this socket seems perfect (in view of the videos) on the other hand I have not yet looked for which fuse it depends on and its amperage?
@Mudslidex1
@Mudslidex1 25 күн бұрын
That's an excellent question and one that's been bugging me for a while a I've never been able to find any documentation that says what fuse that port connects to. And without knowing that, I have no idea how many amps the fuse is for whichever circuit that is on. With that in mind, you may want to look into a Thunderbox. I made another video on installing one (very easy) and you will never have to worry about getting can bus errors. Link to that vid kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGnIpGCXfs2Vm7csi=81d87oT3HSrD-_cc

The Crown model is p/n J8134473 but I don't know the price. I just ordered the Mopar p/n 5083138AA from Rock Auto for about $80. I have the Fodsports FX6 pro. I really only use it for talking to passenger, I've made a few phone calls on it as well. I found the volume either not loud enough or not clear enugu at highway speeds. I also have cheaper hybrid helmets as well, so take that for what it's worth. My biggest complaint is they are sometimes a HUGE PITA to link sometimes after shutting them off. I normally just leave them on even if we stop for hours somewhere. But for the price, they do work

How do you combine the audio from both? Is it in your computer with some specific software
@Mudslidex1
@Mudslidex1 Ай бұрын
You have to use the Cardo App on your phone. It has a record audio function. So when you start it on your phone, it records the audio from your Cardo (How ever many riders are connected) and records that audio to your phone. From your phone you can then share it to Google Drive or One Drive or transfer to your computer however you wish. But the audio file is on it's own which you then would sync to the video using whatever video editing software you're using

@Mudslidex1
@Mudslidex1 Ай бұрын
Yeah, I have the same issue too. There doesn't seem to be any internal battery in these things. And I've found that with different brands of the same type of device to be the same. But yes, like you, once it pairs with the phone the time synchs again. Odd for sure, but I guess they figure you wouldn't use this without a phone anyway. But still, they should at least put a cheap coin style battery in it to keep the time.
