The Honda Element is a terrific car! We sought one out specifically.

That's a nice new stereo. The only issue I find is when I'm programming new keys to a lot of vehicles with aftermarket Stereos, especially Honda, It sometimes requires me to reinstall the original stereo to program a key because of the anti theft system.
@PaulBarger10 ай бұрын
Luckily, I did not run into that problem with this system and vehicle.

Also did you get the steering wheel volume controls working? Where did you connect?
@broofa6 ай бұрын
Were you able to get the radio controls on the steering wheel (“CH”, “VOL”, and “AM/FM”) to work? That was the main issue I had when I tried replacing the radio on my element. I’m still looking for a system that integrates well with all of the OEM speakers and controls.
@PaulBarger6 ай бұрын
Our Element doesn’t have steering wheel controls.

How did you enable the button that shows the volume settings? It doesn't seem to be on my YT09
@PaulBarger2 ай бұрын
It’s on the left side of the screen. Just tap there. There is no button until you tap empty space.

@@PaulBarger That doesn't seem to happen on mine, and I also can't set specific volumes within iOS (e.g. music is loud but calls and Siri are very low). May I ask what software version your unit is running? Mine says so: SDK Version: 54.0.17.0.0.1.12.2 CUST Version: LT101-V1.07 MCU Version: LT-YT921-007-V1.06
@jollinoАй бұрын
@@PaulBarger Not on mine, oddly enough. It looks like AssistiveTouch on iOS though, which is even odder since it triggers the Carpuride interface (and even that's different on my unit)

Did you have an issues with static hissing through your speakers once installed? I bought the same head unit and I am trying to install into a 2011 element (with sub woofer) and I immediately get a constant hiss from my speakers once the stereo turns on.
@PaulBarger10 ай бұрын
No. The sound is nice through the speakers. I didn’t experience the same hissing you describe

@@PaulBarger I am a car stereo noob.. I think the issue is the stock amp in the Element combined with my carpuride head unit are causing things to be double amped. I should have used all of the rca ports off the head unit which I believe are not amped. I actually hard wired it into the head units harness so I could get all the channels... I thought that was thr only way to keep fade ..etc
@PaulBarger10 ай бұрын
I didn’t even see a fade or balance option on the carpuride head unit. How do I find it?

Really not excited about the screen protruding from the console/dash. Just seems odd. Would rather have a flushed setting
@PaulBarger5 ай бұрын
One nice thing about it is that I can angle the screen any direction I’d like. Sometimes at night, when I’ve been driving a long time, it’s nice to angle it away from me.
