If you’re a member to the Best Motoring channel Tsuchiya sama recently competed with an N2. Might be the same car.
@TakumiFuji013 күн бұрын
@@cjcox1480 The one you’re thinking about is an all carbon AE86 for the new 'Super N2' class built by Impulse, Bandoh Shokai, and Tec-Art’s. It’s a different build altogether as Tsuchiya had driven 3 other N2 AE86s for Hot-Version (the TRD 'Sakurai' spec aka car in the video from ‘98-‘07, KMS’s white car for one Tsukuba race in 2012, and then the Car Factory Ai car from ‘12-‘23).

@@TakumiFuji01 Has Tsuchiya owned any N2 AE86's?, iirc he made an instagram post saying his N2 is brought out without his consent... and btw thanks for all the vid rips.
@TakumiFuji013 күн бұрын
@@75yomu I don't think the N2 AE86s were "personally" his to own, besides his name being on it or some form of agreement for him to only use it unless otherwise. I know the TRD car was originally Best MOTORing/Hot-Version's co-owner, Yoshihiro Nirei's personal AE86 which he gave away to TRD and allowed them to do their race program with the N2 build. The car you're talking about is the Car Factory Ai 'Hot-Version' N2 car which coincidentally, KMS also owns that car now after that whole thing happened lol

Spent many a happy mile blasting around as a passenger in my cousin's rally car and then he let me drive it home 30 miles after being rallyed all day oh it's bringing back so many happy times. I still desire one.

It´s great to see this legendary car being driven once more, thank you CARPRIME!. The raw sound of the 4ag pushed to the limit is unbeatable! Even obviously nursing the car, you can see how much NOB enjoyed the experience. Just for reference, this car managed to run Tsukuba near the 1 minute mark back in it´s prime (Think it managed a 59 second lap at some point, but not too sure on this one...).
@superadvanracing37402 күн бұрын
yh it did 59
@TakumiFuji01Күн бұрын
It managed 1:00 flats, there's been close calls but it never hit the 59s unfortunately. The fastest time it ever marked at Tsukuba, at least during its active times w/ Tsuchiya was 1:00.176 during an early '06 test session (refer to HV Vol. 80).

I love this video of the AE86 racing track build it was so very beautiful. I love AE86 so much a lot. The reasons why I love the Toyota AE86 more are because of the famous street racing manga/anime name Initial D is the story about a high school student named Takumi Fujiwara who helps his father's family business shop called Fujiwara tofu shop and also Takumi was racing against other street racing teams like redsuns, Nightkids, Impact blue, emperor and many more. Also, Takumi had natural god-like driving skills so he could beat every racer he faced throughout the series. That's the reason why I love the Toyota AE86 so much also one thing Legendary racing driver Keiichi Tsuchiya owns the AE86 and it was the iconic and best-looking car in JDM car culture history.

built a 7 rib years ago for my mom since we sold her 1JZ swapped MK III a few years prior, used mostly TODA upper end parts but with keihin slide carbs.. or tried, ZERO info was out there on the net at that time on how to set them up and tune them.. Switched to AE111 ITB's, w/ long tube 4-1 headers and about as straight an exhaust as I could make. thing sounded amazing at 8500. Love the 4ag/AE86 combo.. just something about the simplicity was so nice to work on. Side note, I really miss, Hot version and Video Option.

Isn't Keiichi Tsuchiya's latest full dry carbon Super N2 AE86 also manufactured by TRD? I've seen him putting the TRD badge on it, unless it's a different matter.
@stanley42903 күн бұрын
yes its a different car, this one is from a museum, and i think dk has its own personal n2
@TakumiFuji013 күн бұрын
This N2 car being covered was built by TRD, mainly by the late TRD mechanic Tadao Sakurai, who also originally built and maintained Tsuchiya's current street AE86 until his passing in 2008. Tec-Art's took over with the street car and did the 7A-G + experimental powerhouse shenanigans (i.e. 3.5 T50 gear sets, carbon door and roof) in post-2011/2012, while KMS/Koshimizu Motorsports took ownership for the N2 car. Both cars had debuted in 1998 (refer to Best MOTORing Video SPLs Vol. 41 and 42).
