I had the same “problem” with the applicator. Pretty small and i had a very tiny little bit of product leak onto the handle even… For me, a normal detailing brush will work 100 times better.

I loved the Tyre Brush though it started to drop bristles out of it after about 3 uses. Not sure if I had a bad one though I have since thrown it out as it was dropping bristles all over tyres.

Hey there Sandro, i just bought the Carpro Flat/Spot wheel brushes per your recommendation, hope they will be good for BMW black gloss 791M wheels! Oh and the Darkside brush also :) Cheers from Poland Update: Very nice brushes, durable, bendable to an extent, clean really well with the black microfibre extensions, same with the orange ones, a little bit pricey but you can feel the quality (I'm sure they will last a looong time) the one problem i have with the spot one is that it doesn't fit in between my front calpiers (Mpower brakes so minimal gap there) but otherwise? Super ergonomical, easy to keep clean, so many positives!

Keep in mind the tire brush was original made for make up not tire dressing applications. Carpro seems to have just slapped their label on it without any input on the construction in mind. Cant get over the price gauge $14.99 where other shops you can low as $2.99. Thanks CarPro. Also Sandro any thoughts on autofiber wheel blade?
@CarCraftAutoDetailing
@CarCraftAutoDetailing 4 ай бұрын
Interesting - never would have thought that was originally a makeup brush, also interesting as the other brands cost about the same here in Oz $10-20AUD. The Autofiber Blade is very expensive here around $70AUD each, haven’t tried it but looks like it could potentially be good!

Yes, exact tyre dressing brush on Temu is $3. I bought one to compare…identical.
@carpro_official

The difference is we use anti solvent glue for the fibers, other ones the bristles came off with solvent contact after sometime. Darkside is a solvent base.

@@carpro_official Appreciate the response. I’ll use both for the next few months and report back. I’ve been using Darkside for about 12 months now but only just moved to these style of applicators for low profile tyres. I will say that, generally speaking, a foam applicator is far easier to use (for me) regardless of the quality of any brush.
@HeavyComponent
@HeavyComponent 3 ай бұрын
You can get the same tire brush off temu for under $5 which works just the same and very well put together. They're all the same! CarPro just threw some paint and slapped their logo on it. It's just make up brush at the end of the day.

Great video Sandro, thank you. Although that tyre applicator looks a bit small for 4x4 wheel tyres, what would you suggest to use for a big, bulky uneven tyre? Getting into the nooks and gaps is time consuming.

I typically like using a larger detailing brush with longer bristles (something similar in dimension to the Carpro XL brush) and also prefer a more liquid tyre dressing - Zaino Z16 is perfect as it easily gets into every area and if you walk away for 20mins it also self levels amazing well, and looks so good! Issue is Z16 is just not available here locally anymore, but was my number one for large knobby tyres.

Hey sandro i have a question what is better graphene coating or ceramic? My detailer wants to use ncg graphene coating but i want to use nv nova pro. What ur thoughts?
@CarCraftAutoDetailing
@CarCraftAutoDetailing 3 ай бұрын
In my opinion and experience graphene in relation to car coatings still unfortunately doesn’t really mean much and in most cases “graphene” coatings are still predominantly SiO2 or ceramic based. That doesn’t mean a graphene labelled coating can’t be great, it just means the word graphene in car coatings hasn’t really shown itself to offer or be anything new or improved as far as car coatings go. So my advice is don’t choose a coating based on whether it’s marketed as ceramic or graphene, choose it based of its performance and reputation 🙂

You would think that Car Pto would have learned from their competitors. The flat pad needs to be buttoned down so that it doesn't slide off like it did when you backed it out.
