I once had a hilux come in for an All in one polish. I tried using a medium cut waffle pad on a rotary at speed 3. The section was about 5 times the area of the pad, and I had also put on adequate amount of liquid. After literally 5 seconds of polishing the pad and polish gummed up really bad, and the finish was worse than anything I've ever seen. After this I had to really just stick to a very light jeweling polish and a black waxing pad to get some gloss back, and results a typical AIO polish would produce. This drastic jump of pad and polish just goes to show how soft the paint actaully was and I really had to cut my losses on that one with the customer. Any advice on such paint?

I like your sense of humor, & objectivity. I agree with your assessments, with the exception of bead maker, because my understanding is it's in an undefineable category all on it's own. My experience has been, it works best on cars that already have a decent gloss *as that was not my intent in purchasing it. Just one question, why did you include products like Meguires and Mother's that you didn't review in with the 5 you did ?

I usually work with about pads of each type per day, you can wash them at the end of the day and go again the next day.

After application, can I use any sealant or does it have to be the car pro reload
@CarCraftAutoDetailing3 күн бұрын
Doesn’t need to be a Carpro sealant but something that matches the coating such as many SiO2 ones may be a good choice.

so then how do we know or when do we use the white microfiber heavy cutting pad you showed us on the beginning of the video? You used the blue light cutting pad instead, which was paired up with the coarse compound for extra heavy cuts.

Only use heavier cutting pads if you need more cut to remove more defects

Megs m21 is the worst ever sealent/paintprotection ive ever tried and i have tried alot. Zero chemical resistance irl and cant handle nordic climate. The polish angel is imo the best high end brand on the market, its not cheap but on your precious its perfect. Daily beater maybe not worth the price. I use gyeon and polish angel for my cars and some labocosmetica products. Great video, i think the gloss readings would be bettet for polish angel high gloss vs the other on a polished panel. Its not formulated as a filler product. Gloss units of high gloss on oerfect polished paint is around 98-100gu.

Im pretty sure that both Collinite and Meguiars are infused with polymers while P21 is a pure wax. Not sure about Pinnacle but its behavior shows that there most likely aren’t any polymers in the mix. This could explain the different behaviors to the slickness of these four. The Meguiars also have fillers and is not completely comparable with pure Carnauba waxes.

Kamakazi to me is overpriced hype junk. NV makes amazing products that aren’t overpriced and do what they’re actually said to do. Right not NV boost is on sale so I took advantage and grabbed a bunch. For 16$ a bottle of a real ceramic coating topper you can’t beat it.

Hi Sando! absolutely love your content, always so helpful and clear with explaining your steps! do you have any tips for removing water spots on my chrome/alum trim without a polisher?
@CarCraftAutoDetailing7 күн бұрын
If a water spot remover isn’t removing them (which is where I would start) I’d tend to try Carpro Essence Plus with a microfibre cloth as its a non abrasive polish/sealant that still has a great deep cleaning ability - but you’ll need to use a bit of elbow grease if you don’t want to use it with a polisher and pad.

I just bought a $2000 car and I'm worried about the paint chips in it. it's the most money I've ever spent on a vehicle. My touch-up looks terrible, there are large areas without paint, not just little chips but your video has been a great help. I don't have a garage, or any kind of cover so I'll wait for a sunny day and give this a try.

Thanks for all your videos ... Did I misunderstand your video or mis reading the below from carpro-usa website? ... it says use Essence not Essence Plus under a coating. Q. Can I use Essence Plus underneath CQUARTZ like I did with Essence? A. No, this is not a primer like Essence is. Coatings will not bond on top! If used in-conjunction with a coating, this goes on top, not bottom.

If you just want more of a dedicated 3” polisher I think you’ll be happy with the Flex, but if you do want to also use 2”, 1” and even 1/2” pads on both rotary and DA modes the Shine Mate is a clear winner.

Hey Sandro, I'm going to be performing a 2 stage paint correction to a family members car very soon. She has a white 2001 Lexus, with defects exactly identical to these. Unfortunately, I don't have any Rupes yellow wool pads, however, I do have their blue wool and their yellow foam to finish. Do you think that coarse wool would prohibit me from being able to achieve a nice finish? I know I can be less aggressive by making fewer passes and going slightly faster than normal for my arm speed. Thanks mate

I have not used any of these products except the Butter Wax. I agree with you on all points. It feels good, smells good and is easy to use but it just does not seem to make any difference to the finish - I actually went and reread the instructions becuase I thought I must have used it wrong - the finish looked exactly the same as the bare paint. I thought maybe it was just me... Apparently not :)
