CARPRO LITE REVIEW | New Addition to The Detailing Business | Focus On Detailing
Adding something a little special as a package deal to the business. An overdue item that I've finally decided to start adding to customers cars.
This relatively new ceramic coating from CarPro is a brilliant way to start off with car coating. It offers all the usual great pros of high end ones with a super simple application.
It can be applied without the need of paint correction but I believe you'd be 110% better off taking the time to get a cleaner, defect free surface to layer it on.
This is my review on LITE! As well as offering an insight to what's involved for an customer's keen on seeing what's involved if they'd like said package.

Nice video thanks for sharing, I like Tac Systems Moonlight which is just as easy to apply. I normally use two coats and its last a year easily in the British weather with just P&S bead maker or Gyeon Wet Coat apply as detail spray (not wet then washed off). Moonlight is around £30 so good value you could coat 20 cars with it!

Thank you! It was a cutting compound called PRECISION from Nova. Although a cutting compound it did a brilliant job refining the paint work with no hazzing

1 or 2 months? It's supposed to last 6+, and I'm sure if looked after it'd last a year. My problem with CP lite is that for an extra 10 or 20 bucks you can get the CarPro Cquartz UK 3.0 kit, it's almost an identical application process but lasts a few years. Lite is better as a topper for CQUK or even the original CQ IMO.

May not have worded that quite right in the video. I think I was just saying one or two months as a generic statement to compare to lower grade spray coatings or waxes and sealants. They do say 6+ months but without a doubt it should be looked after properly no matter what to get the most out of it haha. That's a tough one and I get where you're coming. You do get 150ml for $80 - 6+ months compared to around $78 for 30ml for around 3 years. Both coming in their boxes with mf towels and applicators.

For a super rookie like myself, Lite is more safe proof. Plus 6months is perfect time protection for whole summer before storing the car for a Canadian winter and reapplying come next spring.

No consumer coating will last 3 years esp on daily driver. All marketing rubbish. At best half it and you get the realistic figure. Tim good work on light polish of the vehicle esp after claying the soft subie paint. Micro marrying galore otherwise.

The difference is that CQUK is more difficult to apply with the chance of leaving high spots which, if not dealt with straight away and cure may require you to compound the whole panel and reapply. CQLite doesn't really have this problem.

Hi, thanks for this video, I was just wondering, do you know how long does the carpro lite last in the bottle? I only have one car and I would like to use it several times, maybe thinking of keeping it for 2 years or so. I appreciate it if you can help me with that.

Great review. How do you get a clean surface once the product begins to wear out? I thought ceramics are chemical resistant so do you need to remove it with cutting compound and throw away a few microfibre towels?

Thank you! I believe CarPro does have a product called Essence PLUS to help repair the coatings if you wish to have it lasting longer. But if you wanted to dispose of it once it had come to the end of its life then you'd be on the money. Simply just spraying it with an IPA would likely not be enough but you'd have to go through this entire process again. Depending on the condition of the paint work and how much is actually left of the coating.

@@crunchied8 Sorry about the delayed response. I find it really good to use myself. Works as a clay lubricant & a chemical decon. Also a lot safer than some of the competition too where if it does dry it's not the end of the world. It can simply be washed or pressure washed off

Hi, how long does cquartz lite take to actually cure. A guy told me 1 week then said I can get it wet. Cheers Julian from Australia

Any SiO2 based coating which CQLite is, generally recommends not washing it or using chemicals for a week to aid in the curing process. It can get wet 1 hour after application especially when topped with Reload. Hope that helps.
