Thanks a lot Tim! I was not aware you were doing this and can appreciate it's a big task with so many different ones used in this video. But really happy to see you're liking our system of Aussie made and developed products. I noted the new Wheely Clean did not really react too strongly there, must not have been too much brake dust to react with, as you keep your beast too clean! Our chemists are already working on upgrades to that, as well as more new formulas in their final phases of development as well, so keep your eyes out for those too. Once again, thank you for this support of a local Aussie company!

I really enjoyed making this video! I was flat out detailing, filming and editing but I'm hoping it came out okay and others will be able to pick up a thing or two. Yeah my wheels weren't overly dirty, lacking the brake dust which in turn didn't make for a great display of purple but I'm sure others will find if they spray it on theirs in the same way the results could be different. That's the only downside to keeping my car clean, I struggle to really show some products working haha. Really looking forward to the products to come! Thanks for the comment!

And a beautiful effect without the inclusion of silicone within the product formulation. Bowdens Own products really are underated. Try giving the Bowdens Own clay towel a go with lubricating auto gel, and there are two grades available. And to clean your windscreen, use the clay bar. It will remove all the stubborn buildup and will improve wiper operations. Great vid. Great info. All good Tim. 👍👍
@BowdensOwn6 жыл бұрын
Just need to point out that the Tyre Sheen is oil silicone based product here mate! We don't use that in the other product formula's, rather going for newer water based ingredients that mean we don't need to use them for the better blending and usability, but it does make them all more expensive to make though.

Hey Andrew, thanks for commenting! I was going to clay my windscreen and in fact should've stated that it can be done but I purposely left the glass with a simple clean as I want to make a video dedicated to super cleaning the windscreen. Including cleaning, claybar, polishing and sealant.

Just came across this video today Tim. Thanks for showing all the products. I am keen on the products because they are Aus made and owned. As a kid I used to go to the Big Pineapple in Nambour where the Bowden’s collection now lives. I purchased a little Volvo C 30 in March that was unloved as the previous owner was a smoker and left the paint very unloved. The Bowden’s products have brought the hatch back to life even though it’s pearl white the dull paintwork was very evident. Would love to see you get a dull and lifeless white car and show us how to bring it back to gleaming like it left the factory.

Your 'Really dirty' ute is basically mine within a couple working days on site, it sucks having a good vehicle that's impossible to keep clean! But it does mean I wash regularly and videos like yours are awesome for helping me make product decisions and how to use them. Keep it up, Ill be watching!

great video Tim, so after watching this video i gather there is no need to polish the vehicle as the products you use do that as well as clean the car.am i correct in thinking that.look forward to your reply cheers.

@focusondetailing38556 жыл бұрын
Good point man. Just a habit of mine to double up with rinsing like that with cars that are super dirty. Mine could've gone without it but it doesn't hurt. Thanks for the comment!

FocusOnDetailing No worries. Keep up the good work, your videos aren’t long enough! hahaha! 😉 But in all seriousness, the amount of time and work you put in to make these videos is amazing.

Not a bad video. Yes I have used a few Bowdens products and they are really good. Clay bar with their quick detailer spray worked very well on a few vehicles I have done. LOVE their South Korean made microfiber cloths like the drop bear and their big green cloth for soaking up water. Wheely clean works very well but the smell..........MMMMMM it is nothing I have smelt ever before. But kills brake dust. Their Snow Foam in their snow foam cannon is brilliant!!!!!!!!!! Also used the interior Vinyl restorer which works well on the 1974 HQ trim. Great an Aussie company can make such great products. They are all top quality. I still use top polishes like Car Pro, Concours, Scholl, Menzerna, TLC but maybe Boydens can eventually come out with some to compete with these. Orange Agent is brilliant as a APC for interior and exterior. Very strong cleaner. Go Bowdens.

Please, why did you use the Fully Slick after the After Glow? just curious. ( i read after glow is dust resistant)
@focusondetailing38556 жыл бұрын
I believe you can do it either way with After Glow then Fully Slick or Fully Slick then After Glow. Both being water based sealants and can be layered. This is just what was recommended. I have actually read that as well. It did do a fantastic job keeping the car clean over the weeks through the rainy and dusty days.

@ssvr3dl1n385 жыл бұрын
Hi Ryan, I can't speak for a dark coloured car, but I use it on my white car by spraying straight onto a Big Green Sucker when chamoising dry after a wash & rinse. It seems to have a great drying agent that helps prevent water marks & streaking. I then use Fully Slick or Lazy Wax as a final coating to give it a gleaming finish. Apologies Tim for jumping in here mate!

Good review mate well done😉 regarding the PC&R, whilst I know it's not a glaze as such, as it has no filling ability, to me it still performed like a glaze by leaving a beautiful finish. Thoughts?
@BowdensOwn6 жыл бұрын
Hey Ken, the Paint Cleanse and Restore has got a touch more cleaning power than a glaze traditionally has, plus no protection and no resin fillers in it either... So it's not in the same grouping as a what most would expect from a glaze. It's a little bit in its own area, made to give a deeper clean with its combination of cleaning oils, just what we needed before applying any of the final stage products we have.
@kenlawton15316 жыл бұрын
BowdensOwn I applied it with a DA and although my car is always immaculate I really did like the finish it left. I'm a fan 😉
@BowdensOwn6 жыл бұрын
Can get dry pretty quick with a DA, one day we will make products to be better suited with the machines too, that will be great fun!
@kenlawton15316 жыл бұрын
BowdensOwn I really liked how it applied with the DA, finishing pad medium speed, applied it lovely and thin with no probs whatsoever 😉😊
@focusondetailing38556 жыл бұрын
Well looks like Bowden's have that question covered haha. I was thinking along the lines of it being in the glaze category too but obviously not quite right. I loved it and was tempted to try it with the DA but thought I'd keep it simple so others can follow. Still manages to bring out the best in the paint as long as it's not too damaged. Thanks as always for commenting mate

Great video mate, I was weary of buying Snow Job because of it's price but after this video I'll definitely grab some, just wondering do you know if Bowdens Own do bulk lots (e.g 5L bottle/tub of wash or snow job)? Also would love to see a review/comparison video of some RO Polishers if that's possible for you to do :)

We certainly do 5 (and 20) litre drums and they save you a decent amount as well. Click the size button to see the current pricing in the link below and use the part number BOSNOW5L to special order it in from any Autobarn or Supercheap store. www.bowdensown.com.au/products/exterior/snow-job

That spray on tyre shine is the worst, meaning that all spray on tyre shine products, unless you spray it on the towel, that way the excess spray does not hit your panels or wheels rims, (meguiars gel tyre with the tyre shaped foam pad) trim is simply the best and once dry ,it does not come off for at least two weeks even in wet driving. :)
@CaseTheCorvetteMan4 жыл бұрын
As good as that tyre sheen is, and i use it on all 3 of my cars, it most certainly DOES sling spots onto the body, even after waiting many hours and it doesn't matter how you apply it. Fully slick will really only last about 3-4 days of sitting in the rain, car driven or not. Great for a quick clean before or at a show, but it won't last long if the car is used. Their products are some of the very best consumer stuff around, i have used alot of them for at least 15 years now, but this is almost like a paid presentation in the way that you say a couple little things there that just aren't true.

finally a fucking aussie! bout time we had someone who knew their shit about detailing, do you think bowdens is on the same level as chemical guys and AMMO, tossing up which to get for my car
@focusondetailing38556 жыл бұрын
Haha thanks for the comment! It's a big statement saying that anyone of those brands are leagues ahead of the others as they all have products that I like and use. Bowden's Own works well and are easily accessible here in Australia, Chemical have a wide range of reliable and affordable products and AMMO has a high status in the detailing community with good reason. Although it is expensive to get the products over into Australia. I used AMMO when I was doing my own car but now with the business I'm working on more cars so I'm better off with Bowden's Own.
