It is such a cool livery and awesome car! Quick slicks ought to take it to the moon! I will be truing up my tires and tuning it a bit cus I know it has a lot more in it, the tires were rubbish out of the box. Favorite digital Carrera I own to date so far! Checker or wrecker my man!

I'm not the greatest at this editing thing, but I'm giving it a go 😅 I'd have to say at this moment, my BMW M1 because it is so light and has wider rear tires than most, or my Torino or Charger stock cars (they are so smooth!). But, this layout is newer (only about two months old) so I haven't ran through all of them yet once again. Out of the GT class/DTM cars though, I'd have to say my C8 Vette has had the most run time and am probably the most used to it, but the Audi R8 right out of the box and this McLaren so far has been exceptional without tuning. I have a few others I will be doing videos on that I have not ran yet though, so we will find out soon!

Yes my Chargers & Torino's Talladega are really quiet running with some urethane tires they are great runners. Homeracing world has a great video on modification of this car. Lowering it was number 1.Have yet to do.

You are spot on, Pete!! I was so surprised because they sat higher than the "DTM" cars and thought they would underperform, but I was very pleased how they ran outta the box and very quiet indeed! I can only imagine what better tire compound and lowering the center of gravity would get you!@@pistolpete651

Is the track in the video a Carrera digital track? Can other brands of slot cars run on this track?

Because I remember that Carrera’s 132digital cars have a necessary chip, right? Do other brands of cars require additional installation?

It is indeed a Carrera Digital track. Other brands can run on this track with the addition of decoder chips specific to each brand of slot car (sold individually) to make them compatible with the digital coding of the Carrera power base/computer. Or, with some investment and manual labor, you can buy a Axel box or similar product which once wired into the carrera base, you can switch the track to analog or digital with the flip of a switch and run any car brand of appropriate scale on one setup (or purchase a Carrera Evolution analog power base and just swap it out when you want to run analog like I have been doing). Sorry for the extended comment! Was trying to be as thorough as possible on all the options! Thanks for stopping by, and best to you!
