I had the same issue woth yoshi being slower than mario. Not sure if this is a defect so i ordered another set to test it out.

mine is mario slower tham yoshi, i've tried both tracks, same result. Yoshi wins.

They take type C batteries we found the battery at target and Home Depot if you still can’t find them I’ll mail some to your boy 🫶🏽💙

Any way to slow Mario down a bit? They weigh exactly the same, but Mario is significantly faster

Try to play with the brushes underneath the cars, more contact means faster
