Carriage drive from Tannington to Norwich Market and back to Laxfield

This 65 mile carriage drive took place sometime in the 1990s. It started in Tannington, Suffolk, via several pubs, to the old cattle market in Norwich, Norfolk. The return journey is shown, via even more pubs, to the Low House (alias the King's Head) Laxfield.

I remember Tony Harvey doing this trip. It took them a few weeks to get the horses fit and they didn't go until they were. Tony always said that Norwich and back was usual for dealers and traders at that time of day, and he wanted to have a go. With him were Kenny Hamlyn, Peter Bailey, Johnny Stammers and John (Pegleg)Green. Terry who filmed it was an ex BBC cameraman who bought a driving mare off Tony. All gone now except for Kenny and Greeny. Great driving days.

I remember driving with quite a few of these lot when I was younger, I used to help out there when I was younger. I helped out there back in 1994.

Thank you for posting this , just played it to Alec Jolly ( who went on this drive with Kenny ) and he loved it ! Is there anyway I could buy a DVD of this ?

Poor old Alec has gone now and Kenny is in a home. Both rum ole boys.
