I'm Irish and this is one of my favorite songs. Your version blew me away - fantastic. Guitar acoustics are also amazing. Thanks for posting.

Many thanks for these nice words. I am a bulgarian and not native english speaking man. I adore this song.This record was made 6 years ago. Now I sing this song better ;-)

You sing it better than a lot of Irish people, including me!! Make sure you bring your guitar when you visit Ireland!!

I never was in Ireland, but I know that Irish people are serious. How to tell you... I just feel that song. I feel what hides behind these words. I am bulgarian. Bulgarians are ancient people. And my land is extremely beautiful. Come and see ;-) And promise - if I come to Ireland I bring a guitar!

Thank you, Lynda for the kind words. You may be right... I am a bulgarian and in the last fifteen years I sing and make songs only in my native language. But I don't love bulgarian folk music. It doesn't tell me nothing. I love the folk music of your people.

This here is an amazing cover! The voice, the sound of the guitar sounds fantastic. That guitar is something, would love to have one like that!

Thanks for the good words. This is a REALLY AMAZING GUITAR!!! If you want one like that you should contact the Master Luthier Galin Penev from Kazanlak-Bulgaria. And the instrument is not so expencive.

krassip61 :) Thank you. Problem is I am from India and getting a "Gale" especially a left handed one sounds a difficult task for now. Is this the website to visit? - penevguitars.hit.bg/ It is unavailable currently.
@KRASIPARVANOV10 жыл бұрын
First "Gale" is the name of My instrument. I gave names of my guitars. Galin Penev can build a guitar for you if you convince him. I am sure he can make a "lefty" one. Here is his e-mail: penev_guitars@yahoo.com I don't know why the site "penevguitars.hit.bg doesn't work for you - it works for me here... And here is the facebook of Galin Penev: facebook.com/galin.penev.37?fref=tl_fr_box

krassip61 hey thanks for the email id and facebook contact! And I am sorry I thought the guitar series is "Gale". Nice to meet someone who names the instrument. My guitar is named "Lucky" and the Ukulele I have is named "Eddie" both after my favorite artists. Cheers!

Thanks for the good words, mate! The guitar is very special custom and this is the first song I play on it... A precious moment for me.

@GabrielToraTheOne This recording was made on the day I payed "THE GALE" to the luthier Galin Penev. And this was the first song I played with her. May be I can play this song better way, but this is a very important moment and this recording will stay here. The sound of "THE GALE" is really supernatural. I wish you, Gabriel to have such an instrument, for you deserve it!

it is some kind of D7 - I play it like I play C but 2 frets upper and without the 6'th string. Just try. I have no tabs. Longtime ago I used to need tabs. Not anymore. I play most my songs these days and when I play somebody else's song I play it like I feel it. Sometimes I find my own chords (but everything's done under the sun).
