How great thou art is a song called "O store Gud" in Swedish language. Carl Boberg wrote the text. after vittnesing a thunder storm near Kalmarsund in Sweden. The music comes from old Swedish folk music. Carl Boberg was born in the small village Mönsterås the 16th of August 1859 and he passed away at the 7th of Januari 1940 in the town of Kalmar. 10/22/23 This song was played and sang many times over in the churches I have attended during my life. I had it played at my wife’s funeral service 14 months ago. It’s my belief in God that has helped me with the list of my wife of of almost 48 years. Yes, God is great. HE called HIS angel home. Praise God for HIS love.
