Thank you for the reaction! Myself and my husband are both veterans when Marines were on deployment rotations. The one thing I can say being on both sides of things; when "you" are deployed, you know when to really worry, you know when you are in danger. When you are the spouse or other loved one at home, you believe your person is in danger from the time you see them get on the bus until the time you see them come off it. It's rough. Would love to see you do Carrie's "Cry Pretty" and "Something in the Water" Thanks again, for your service and for all this content.

Carrie was one of my good friends' favorite... he died a few weeks ago. 28 years old...and we still don't know why! 😓 He wasn't military... but... this will forever be his song for me now. Not to take away from my amazing vets! Love you all! 🙏 thank you!

Happy New Year. Carrie has some very sad soldier songs, this one is full of hope instead of despair. When someone leaves our lives, many of us hope we will see them again when we take our last breath. The memories keep them close. From my parents, to my brother, my nephew, numerous friends, and my life partner - they are gone, but never forgotten.
