Lets normalize accepting that everyone can be tired. Someone being a mother doesn't automatically mean they are more tired than everyone else, especially those without children. Yes being a mother is difficult but you never know what the other person is living/experiencing. Someone being tired doesn't negate another person's tiredness. There I said it! So Carrie, don't excuse yourself for being tired!

In case it helps to hear, PCOS girlie here who used Mounjaro and now Ozempic to manage my PCOS and it is a total game changer. Lost 50lbs and my hormone levels are normal for the first time ever - in maintenance mode now and taking it less frequently and have maintained my progress. My doctor said “you can’t will power your way out of an endocrine disorder” and that really stuck with me and helped me with the conflicted feelings I had about this being an “easy way” out.

It should be illegal for landlords to take a higher rent than advertised for certain tenants. We need rent control. We need something, because this situation is insane.

When I moved to LA a while back the landlord of the apartment we applied to told us he “had to” raise the advertised rent because other people were offering him more money for it. for me, i believe pet grief is SO HARD to live through because our pets (and all animals) are such innocent beings who give so much unconditional love, they are truly so special to us. 😕 what still helps me after very unexpectedly losing a pet way before i should have (and has now been six and a half years) is that i know for a fact that she knew just how much i loved her! 💛

When my childhood dog passed away I grieved for years and I will grieve when my pets pass! Just know that grief is a revolving cycle and never goes away, life just goes on beside it. Loved your comments on ozempic! I had some serious cosmetic this year. I think a lot of people don’t respect the amount of thought that goes into making these decisions. Tough personal fights with yourself and emotional roller coasters of fighting societys constructs of what “xxx” means about you. really it’s no one else’s business but your own- and both action and inaction show a lot of bravery - each deserve respect! So thanks for addressing that question with such grace!

Hi Carrie, as someone who's also suffering with SIBO, I'm so gutted the doctors told you it can only be treated with antibiotics! I know you didn't ask for advice, but I feel like I need to share my experience - listen to your body! Don't eat the food that upsets your stomach, keep a diary. I've now eliminated sugar and processed foods completely and my symptoms have gone down like 80%. Even the fatigue. I have more energy now than I ever had in my entire life lol. It's just a matter of getting rid of these bacterias, so you have to be persistent and patient for a while. It's not easy, especially when you're a foodie, but once you start seeing the results, it's absolutely worth it.

@@RainbowGhoul31 I'm avoiding inflammatory foods as much as I can and it sure helps. I'm mostly following a low fodmap diet. I totally understand what you mean about a pet being your soul mate. That's how I felt about our cat, who we lost in September. She was my soul mate. Yes, my eyes still well up when I think about her (right now actually), but you are right. You just get used to it. Hahaha! I love that question about summoning you to a seance lol! First off grief is grief, no matter who or what it is. There is no time limit for grief either. I still think of my Baby Girl who passed 17 years ago. I will still get a little teary eyed thinking of her, or when I see a dog that looks like her. @nd maybe get a couple of apps on your phone like Tasty app. That way you can at least get a few ideas on recipes or maybe it will inspire a recipe to make. And finally I am one of those people who think that things happen for a reason, so you not getting these houses just means you haven't found the "one" yet. For whatever reason those were just not the right one for you and Drew. Be patience and you will find it. Good luck with the house hunting and remember to always take care of your self first above all else.

Have you tried treating your sibo with the sibo diet? Heard great things about. You technically starve the bacteria by not eating some specific thing. I also suffer from fatigue and what helped me was to accept the fact, that some have endless stamina and some have to recharge. And that's OKAY ❤

I would never tell someone what to do with their own body but as someone who was on Wegovy (same drug as Ozempic just different dose) I would say do a lot of research if anyone wants to start it. No one really talks about the fact that it simply doesn’t work on about 13% of people. As someone who took it for months and lost zero weight, the mental toll of putting your body through that and not seeing any results is really difficult. Especially when people are talking about it like it’s a miracle drug that “everyone” loses so much weight on but I didn’t. Made me feel like a failure in the strangest way. Also it does make you feel nauseous about 95% of the time which sucks.

I've made a "menu" that I put on my fridge so I know what I like to make and go off of that for what to make for the week. I also have a category for saved tiktoks and instagram recipes that I look through sometimes and that helps a lot.

SIBO friend over here - I have been able to work with a naturopath and take a natural antibiotic/anti-microbial for my SIBO and it has worked like a dream. AND you can take them more consistently and long term to help keep the SIBO away which isn't really and option with antibiotics. It takes a bit longer than traditional antibiotics, but I didn't have any intense symptoms like I usually get with any antibiotic I take. If that's your vibe, I give a stamp of approval to that method and would recommend to anyone looking for alternative treatments. Best of luck to you and your belly

As someone who is currently seeking a home to purchase instead of renting again, they're both bonkers but the rental market is definitely worse in my area. That's great your landlord is letting you do month-to-month though!

TIP for figuring out what to eat: buy a blank recipe book! I always forget about tasty meals I've made. So now when I find a new recipe and it turns out really well I write it in my blank cook book. If I'm ever stuck on what to cook I go back to the book for inspiration ☺️❤️

I've been doing a non-salad chopped salad. I saw it on IG (yes I'm in my mid 30s). We chopped up a bunch of different salad toppings (w/o lettuce or spinach bc I can't eat either one) and added it a bowl with dressing of choice. All of our salads (hubby, myself, and 10 year old) looked different but all healthy and fun. We had: deli meat, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, cubed cheese, mushrooms, olives, pickles, and avocado. We also have plans to do it again and add drained/rinsed beans. Does not have to be fancy to work. I've also been eating a lunchable/charcuterie type meal for lunch at work (rice crackers, deli meat, cheese) and it has been wonderful!

We write down our meals list in google keep and then you can go back and look at meals you’ve made in the past that we forgot about. I also have a dinner Pinterest board and take pictures and sometimes go through my camera roll. But the struggle every week is real!

I make oven baked crispy black bean tacos at least once a week and they are life changing! Super easy to put together, healthy, filling, and you can add whatever kind of spices/veggies/sauces you like to switch it up. I have my own recipe but there’s a bunch on TikTok as well :)

Looking for a place to rent is so overwhelming and stressful. The fact that most places won’t allow you to secure it until quite soon before you need to move is the worse part. When my bf and I were looking here in Cincinnati I started to despise getting on Zillow so much like it would spike my anxiety every day 😫 stay strong!

My husband and I use EveryPlate. It's literally the only way that I don't get overwhelmed from cooking and meal planning. We order our meals for 4 people instead of 2 so we have leftovers the next day. Working full time and meal planning SUCKS

I started taking ozempic for diabetes and luckily for me I didn’t care if I lost weight. I didn’t lose a lot of weight taking it, and it wasn’t until more recently that I now have a coach through a diabetes program where I’m being monitored that I’m actually making substantial progress. I think I also have sibo, but no official diagnosis. I feel like I’m feeling a lot better overall now - but nausea is probably my worst symptom. I know they’re working on coming out with pill form GLP-1’s that have less symptoms, so maybe that’s something to look into in the future for anybody considering it. I was really impressed recently to see there’s GLP-1’s that are just for weight loss now, so those who are diabetic like me are still getting the doses we need and other people can enjoy the weight loss benefits of the other versions!

Yeah I think the only one specifically for weightloss is wegovy, but I feel that since the word is out there now about these drugs, it is making it difficult to get ahold of any of them because there are doctors out there that will prescribe the other ones off label for purely its weightloss effect. My husband has been on Trulicity for about 4 years and has had no side effects. His a1c is now great and yes he did lose about 50 pounds but that wasn’t the intention. Now that these drugs are more popular in the weightloss realm we’ve found Trulicity is becoming more difficult to get ahold of. This last month I had to call 18 different pharmacies to find one that had one box. I’m truly worried how this is going to effect his ability to get the drug he needs for diabetes as the popularity grows of the weightloss aspects of these drugs and people choosing to use them purely for weightloss.

My husband and I owned a home years ago, moved out of state and rented, which lasted for many years, then our lease was coming due in February and we decided to pivot and buy a house in a new state. When I started looking at Zillow, it pulled up my old house first, and I could have been sick over how much more it is worth now, but I'm trying to delete that from my mind. Coulda, shoulda, woulda. There are pros and cons to renting and owning, but no matter what, everything is SO expensive and competitive now. It is ridiculous. It is nice you can go month to month and also, you may find a much easier time to move after this month or the next few. I have undiagnosed ADHD, but I am positive I have it. Not the hyper version, the paralyzed one. But, between that, my hormones and the stress of a long-distance move, I feel like I barely have anything left in the tank these days. Like my battery can be plugged in, but it only charges 20%. I am so frustrated, and I'm not doing any of the things that I know will help...like regular exercise. But, I have noticed that I also use hyperfocus when it comes to exercise, and then eventually I get kind of bored and lose all focus. Then I feel bad and go through a whole spiral. Pet grief is just as valid as any other. I have been through many losses (humans and pets), and losing pets is very high for me. I am closer to my dog than to most people. I have been where you are, and it is really hard ❤️ And lastly, I don't know what to eat either. Between the three of us in my family, we like about six of the same home cooked meals. So, those are in heavy rotation if we all want to eat the same thing. It gets so boring. But, I also don't really want to try a lot of new things. All in all, I'm tired! The move knocked me down, and I have been trying so hard to get up. My hormones (perimenopause) are out of whack, my ADHD brain is in paralyzed mode, and the only thing I have energy for is what absolutely needs to get done. I have decorating to do, and I can't even pull myself together to finish that. Thanks for sharing how you feel and the good and the bad. I can relate, and it makes me feel less alone. I am rooting for you, and that right living situation will come along. Maybe the fact that it was easy before means this time you won't end up with ceiling rats and bad neighbors. I'm not making fun, just that you have been through it. Maybe the next is the best yet!!

Carrie - I have Hashimoto's disease (and am generally a fatigue-prone gal). I completely understand the strain of that bone-deep fatigue and the feeling of being lazy. But we're not lazy! Our bodies need rest and time and care. I beat myself up for years because of it until I thought nope, if I am having a flare-up then I will rest as much as I need. (I am childfree so I can sleep when I need to without being needed, and I acknowledge that, but it's still tough). It's hard to explain to people who haven't experienced it that it's not just "tired". Go easy on yourself.

Hashis is the worst! I’ve had it for about 15 years but it wasn’t until 4 years ago that I was officially diagnosed. The fatigue was so bad that I was constantly tired and literally had to nap in the middle of the day to function. I’m pretty well controlled now, but when I have a flare, forget anything else getting done, I just need to sleep and take care of myself. Also child free. Can’t imagine having a kid and dealing with chronic fatigue😬

@@beckyherrera5387 Me too! Before I was diagnosed and medicated I felt so ashamed about having to sleep so much (sometimes nap twice or even three times a day just to get through). I was so embarrassed! I'm pretty good now, too, but I have accepted that some of us are sleepy gals and a nap doesn't mean we aren't productive or fabulous.

Dear Carrie, understand and can empathize about the sibo journey. Highly recommend checking out Karen Hurd’s work and Unique Hammond for the Bean Protocol- seems counterintuitive but eating beans helps so much with tummy issues. Thanks for sharing so openly and honestly in these videos I really appreciate it and it makes me feel less alone!
