As someone who just got a new car, I would say even if you don’t want to get one right now, start looking. Take your time test driving and deciding what you want. I had a 2014 that was paid off and planned to keep it for a while until it was unexpectedly totaled. Luckily no one was hurt but it left me scrambling to figure out what I wanted which was very overwhelming.

The nostalgia! I honestly always loved this house for you and what you did with it. I know it was a little bigger than you needed, but you did a great job with it and some great moments were had! It had to be strange to decorate a space you've already decorated, but maybe slightly satisfying too? I had to move from LA back to Virginia a year ago to take care of my mom during what would be the last months of her life. I’m still trying to get back to LA. I had my 2006 civic painted in 2021 and it was so worth it for me! The paint was the only thing failing on the car. Still looks great and runs great. I would recommend it if the price makes sense for you based on your car. I paid exactly $2k.

Your moving story is wild hahaha 😂 When I moved across town my movers called me the morning of to tell me they weren’t coming. Without any warning or offering other options. I was like “HUH???” It was the last day of my lease and I HAD to be out. Luckily my roommate at the time let me share her moving truck. But it was so bad. My husband just bought a 2024 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and his rule is it always gets parked in the garage. Mostly for safety but also to prevent sun damage. But my car is the same. I drive a 2016 Camry and it has few a scratches and dents 😂

UNSOLICITED VITAMIX TIPS: hey Carrie, you were saying you don’t love your blender. I’m a chef and use the same blender like 12 times a day. Try putting the liquid in first, then start it in lower speed for ten seconds, move to middle speed for ten seconds and then go all the way to the highest speed. The variable gradual speeds help to blend frozen smoothie things in the best way. Hope this is helpful.

Okay, I know you don’t want to be a Karen, but you also can’t get walked over. The moving story is unacceptable on so many layers. They were late to arrive in LA. Obviously, they would stop for dinner, but why a 4 hour delay from when you and Drew arrived in AZ? When did the car stop being towed and start being driven? They should have texted in that moment and asked if you guys would want to back track a little and drive it yourself or if you were okay with them driving it. Then on top of it all they broke a higher ticket item. If everything went smooth and as expected, I could maybe see letting the tv slide…but this is a service you paid for and now you have to pay to replace an item they broke. Calling them out and asking for a refund should not warrant anyone “coming after you”.

Hey Carrie, I love your attitude towards your car. As long as it works well, why get a new one? My husband is a car mechanic and he says (at least in Germany, where we live) it's not economic to get a relatively old car painted. Unless someone you know does it for you at a good price. But the new paint will fade in the sun again 🤷🏻‍♀️ I wouldn't bother with it.

I went to Idaho on vacation and had Dutch Bros for the first time. Oh my gods was it the best thing ever (even if it destroyed my stomach 😂). It might seem like it's no big thing, but being from small town Wisco, getting to experience new coffee places and fast food (had Del Taco for the first time as well and mannnnn i miss it 😂) is the absolute best thing.

The last moving company who moved us had our things in an unsecured/not temp controlled storage locker while we were trying to find a place and all of our things got wet (yay south Florida and humidity!) When they finished moving us into our condo, I noticed that my unworn wedding dress (I was getting married 8 months later) had little black dots all over it. My dress somehow got wet during the time it was in storage and was covered in MOLD. I contacted our moving company and they took it to a “dry cleaner” who said that the mold was “dirt and oil from unclean hands” touching it and that it wasn’t their fault. That same day I found out they were discontinuing my dress so I had to quickly find $2k to replace the dress they ruined. 😅 I did also take my OG dress to another dry cleaner who confirmed that it was mold
