The rig is so big the fixtures seem to “call” to each other and others “call back.” Quality lights and a massive human effort to pull this off. Mad respect to whomever coded this.

Can't even begin to imagine the amount of universes needed to accommodate the amount of channels those movers must have taken!! I work in a tiny theatre with a little avolite tiger touch, this is just mindblowing to me!!!

I would guess its less than you think. The movers with framing shuter are propably ~45 Ch., those without 20~30 Ch. You can fit 10 Fixtures of 50 Ch. in a single universe. Those 8 zone Led washes are 24 Ch. if RGB, 32 if RGBW. so probably 20 of them per universe. In total I would guess ~30 U + Lasers, depending wether theyre DMX controlled (then 1-2 U for them) or with a specialized Laser software

It would just be a computer running most probably Linux. What you are confusing yourself with is a live editing DMX controller you would see at shows

Lighting data when compared to say 4K video is tiny and easily transported. After all it's effectively just 1000's of channels doing 0-255 and back, whilst hard for us, easy stuff for a computer. The hard part was sequencing it all together, that would have taken some time to get right...

Wow, amazing show! This was very impressive. I am an engineer by trade and I am curious: Jugding from the fixture list you gave, 600x 380W/420W moving heads, those alone pull at least 250kW of power when lit simultaniously. What is the maximum power draw for this setup? I know that many open air concerts utilize their own generators on scene to not fry the local power lines.

All the lights and all the channels... Seriously though, I'd say this had GM MA3's and a bucket load of universe's. I'd put the power at circa 500kw Peak (The MA can be set to limit total power based on estimates). And yes, amazing spectacle, but never to be seen on a real working stage; would never be the budget for this...

Man if it wasnt for that Dage logo in the center that would have been so completely disorienting it was so extravagant, and I mean that in a good way. When I was younger I made lights for a mobile disco with only 16 par 64 lamps and 4 Martin robot scanners and a dominator in middle in back and a bigger mirror ball in front.... we made it work quite OK... But I see I have a bit way to go if should start over today 😅

I see a lot of comments about it being "only" 1080p, and although I do agree that it would be better in 4K, it would transform into its own in HDR. Or is the video being in SDR a choice? It is possible it actually looks better on screen in a lower bit rate.

1000+ fixtures, wth? That room is unable to be cooled audience included. I love the narrow lenses, ultra bright colours, no light pollution from the fixtures, the white of the beams is high CRI, my hats off, excellent hardware. I can tell. It’s hard for me to admit but this Chinese manufacturer actually builds pro fixtures.

Hi friend, this setup is just for our promotion use, it's total around 1000 pcs of lights and lasers, the lighting designers are Chinese, we hire them, we are a lighting factory, selling lights

Wish Eric Prydz would use this setup with his high end HOLO setup. And I swear that will be the best Light and Visual show ever made.
