Write a date on that new cap and check the ohms on the igniter and read the micro amps on the flame sensor and prevent a call back.

At 6:12 Didn’t expect to see you touch that capacitor without discharging with screwdriver first. Have you ever been hit by one I have not. If so, how many times in your career how long have you been doing this? Thanks. You are one of the best HVAC KZbinrs I like to watch. Seems I learn something on every video. Thanks.

Is there always Addict ladders and massive roof space over there? In Australia they’re very rare and most roof spaces are small 🥴

You’re right Ted it’s not the worst unit they ever made. I know you’re a Trane guy so you your bias for their equipment is understandable. But as you know being in this business as long as you have, they have all had their dogs. I’ve been an ICP guy for 35 years, even when I worked for a Carrier Dealer. I’ve used Keeprite when it was only Keeprite. Then ICP and all the affiliates but stuck with the Keeprite name. Then United Technologies bought up ICP and I was sure they would shut it all down but they kept the brands and I still use the Keeprite Branded equipment. We’re old dogs Ted and we won’t be taught new tricks. As always I enjoy your videos.👍👍🇨🇦

One or both of the lift supports is probably weak, that's why it's slow to open.

Ted, is that a diode that you have on your jumper cable?

How often can a Heat Exchanger not get properly cooled before it cracks. Im sure there is no 1 answer, but will they generally handle it if it does not occur too often?

PSC all the way baby . I know what you are thinking A PSC motor will only last 25 years then need a cap for the second 25 .

I wouldn't trust that motor. I would worry about damaged windings, insulation, resulting in a fire.

I had a cap go out 2am in my Carrier condenser. Took my meter out there and replaced the cap. Next night A/C acting up again. I looked on my cameras and saw the fan trying to turn. Rechecked the new cap and it was good. Nobody local had a 1/12 motor in stock. Had to next day it. It never ends.
