You sir remind me of the HVAC pro that I have used for 20 years. This man and I attended the same school. We didn’t know each other but when I first had a central air problem I called the school and asked if they could recommend a GOOD graduate from the HVAC school. My curriculum was Mechanical and Architectural Drafting. Anyway the school put me in touch with this guy. For over 20 years he has always provided me top grade service and because we went to the same school he has always provided me a very nice discount on labor/parts and materials on any work he has done for me. People like you (and him) are the backbone of this great land.

Heck companies pay a ton of money than that to get so-called sales 'leads', this would certainly pay for itself many times over. A tradesman treats me well I'm always going to them every single time when the next big ticket item comes up.

Hey great video ! I can't stand hacks, I wish they would just quit. It only makes everything worse for everyone else. Yet they could give a crap. What do you use to record your videos with?

The cold air blowing through the walls prob doesnt help. I work behind and with these scumbags. The new houses being built the past decade are nearly all a dump and people pay to heat and cool the outdoors

The 240v common wire was crooked in the contactor. That’s probably what’s killing capacitors.

I would have connected my manometer to the valve output first. If it showed pressure, the valve is leaking through. Replace the valve. Prove a part is bad before replacing it.

I've DIY my own furnace twice now and my installs are clean and proper. I bought all the tools you guys have for furnace install and setup. The manual tells you all you need to check on first start up. I don't need to be bent over a barrel by the HVAC mafia trying to justify their exorbitant prices.

This is what an Old german technician taught me. If you understand EVERY components function, mechanism of function, and relation to rest of the system. You can manipulate them to your needs. He showed me a honda v6 emgine from 2003 running in a 1980s GM ignition module and simple fuel inj off who knows what. So yeah as parts become less avalible, and less quality we much "adapt and overcome" modify systems to run alt parts etc. Like auto industry given skilled tradesmen you can keep anything going- Commercial carpenter, ex ASE toypta tech, amd appliance restorer
@captaintoyota31712 күн бұрын
Pathetic, as a carpenter this kinda lack of pride in your work agrivates me to no end. Want good wages? DO GOOD WORK. Also code "enforcement " is a joke

Before retiring, I was a commercial /industrial electrician and have done dozens and dozens of side jobs. I have always prided myself on doing the job correctly and never taking advantage of anyone. One of the reasons I get a lot of referrals as word gets out and being good to people is definitely something to hang your hat on.

We have a 2003 ComfortAire with 92.3 percent efficiency. 75K BTU input. It has dual stainless steel heat exchangers. We dont appear to have any rollout but the Service Tech says it's old and it's time to be replaced. Lots of money we are not sure we need to spend?

A HVAC part house will sell a unit to anyone who has the money. The brand maker wont care that the the installer butcherd the install and the supplier part house tec rep if they have one will say get your installer company back, they would delay it until a year has passed then say our warranty with you has expired. I started my HVACR road back in 1977 and earned more wall paper, a mechanical engineer degree, and a Tennessee state HVAC license, this kind of work is shockingly common and to install a new unit are due a change out by TN law you are supposed to pull a permit which requires a mechanical license and a final city/county inspection, just remember money can make many people have no integrity.
