Is there any benefit during cooling with the dehumidification process in the summer when going with the Carrier Performance Two stage furnace 59TP6 (over the single stage 59SP6 furnace), when combined with the Carrier Performance single stage AC unit 24SPA6?

The Carrier Performance two stage furnace (59TP6) and two stage condenser (24TPA7) combination will be better for cooling and dehumidifying. Also it will be higher efficiency and quieter.

@@albertairinc.1140 Thanks for the info. On a two stage or variable system, does the A/C run all the time or does it shut down when it reaches a set point?

@@CarreraTrackOntheFloor I would think every A/C shuts down when it hit's it set point. I think the difference is as the inside temp approaches the set point: - a single stage will run 100% until then; then stop - a dual stage will shift to it's lower stage (about 70% or so), then stop - a variable speed will be decrementing it's capacity in 1% increments, until it gets to 25%; then stop. I don't know if in "normal" mode, if the fan would keep running (at full or lesser speeds). [If fan was in ON mode vs AUTO, it would always run, independent of the compressor.]
