Hello , I’ve been watching your videos for sometime and I have a question, I have a student that don’t talk he’s 5 years old with Autism. I’ve been serving this child for two years now. I’m really confused when I’m trying to teach a class and the parents answer for their child when I asked a question, what should I do? I’ve asked my parents does your child talk, some say yes and some say no, now without being rude to the parents how can I make them understand that I’m asking the child a question not the parents? Second question, I have a child that makes gestures and hand movements, but I can’t understand what he says. When I ask a question and the child responds with gestures, the mom says how he said, he went with his dad to the ranch and he seen all the horses at the ranch, really he said all that? And I didn’t understand a word he said, but she did, is this possible?
