I work at a vet and we’re also doing curbside visits only! Kinda like you and Alex, a lot of people have mixed feelings about it. We do too because while it is safer for us to not have owners in the building, we really miss the high energy atmosphere inside the waiting room and chatting with owners face to face. These are crazy times! :/

Advice on indoor plants here. They’re hella expensive, join indoor plant pages on Facebook and people will happily gift you cuttings to get set up again :) Oh and your moving in early summer so wear sunblock! Then then come April, boom it’s over and gets cold and wet fast

Watching this makes me think of my parents immigrating to the states from the UK. It’s crazy because she was my age when she moved. They ultimately came with 4-5 suitcases and left everything else, she says it wasn’t worth moving the furniture and she didn’t know the space she would have. I just cant imagine doing that now in my own life. Love watching your vlogs, it’s like watching her go through it in spirit!

Vet tech here, we understand how hard it is to not come in with your pets but trust me, 99% of the time they do perfectly fine! Also, thank you for seeming so understanding, we’ve dealt with too many clients because terrible to us due to curbside and covid altogether... depression and burnout has been running through the veterinary communities and it has not been any easy year.

We found a mobile vet who typically works with large livestock but also treats small animals and it has been amazing. The cats don’t flip out (unless there’s shots) because they get to be in their own home and don’t have to go into the carrier or the car or be near loud dogs in a long

NZ definitely does not have concentration camps for Covid-19. It's just an isolated hotel stay. Besides which, if we don't really have community cases, most people aren't at risk of having to go. Unlike the number of cases the US have... If anything, they are lucky to be able to leave the US and be allowed in NZ in this time of history.
