Carrizo Plain National Monument

Carrizo Plain National Monument is comprised of over 200,000 acres of preserved grassland, the lush rolling hills here are well known for the incredible spring wildflowers that light up the scenery with “super blooms” in the spring - Soda Lake is also a prominent feature here, this lake is considered one of the largest remaining alkali wetlands in Southern California and both hiking and birding are popular here.
