Thank you Yasir Qadhi. Although kombucha was deemed halal, I just wanted to point out that kombucha bottles have a warning on the back of them saying that those who avoid alcohol for religious beliefs should not consume. Any input on this? Thanks!

Amazing questions! JazakAllah khair Brother, for answering the great questions.There was so so much need of some scholar to answer these questions. I am hoping topics like LGBT, keeping dogs and pictures at home, keeping credit cards and getting insurances, buying houses on morgage etc. are also addressed some day as they are often under discussion among muslim and non muslim circles. As a sound engineer it sounds really good to me. I mean sure he could get a Shure mic and soundproofer but it's not really necessary, he's not recording an album, he just needs his words to be clear enough that you can understand them.

The person that said the theory of relativity is a statement of kufr is looking at it in the theology point of view, I don't think that is wrong. There is a subtle theological implication in just accepting that energy can not be created nor destroyed and I believe it is not silly if a Muslim scholar or student try to correct that in his mind.

Is there any ruling on medical marijuana or THC/CBD based drugs for people with epilepsy or cancer? Pain medicine from a doctor for surgery is an opiate, would that be haram? The same drug can be taken illicitly by a person who does not have a legitimate medical need to get high, that obviously would be haram, but the person who takes the medicine after losing a leg in a car accident will get just as high as the person taking it illicitly. Who decides how this ruling is implemented in medical cases and how are muslims living with chronic medical conditions supposed to make educated decisions for their health when their aren't really doctors who understand shariah in the US, or Imams who understand medicine?

Now people will start hanging The Noble Quran every where in their house and else where and will think that it will protect them. No only asking Allah subhanahu wa ta`ala for protection will protect us, Allahu Alam. This lecture is misleading.

What he is saying is giving validity of Tawiz(amulate) which is forbidden in Islam. That is if you hang The Quran around your neck you will be protected(nauzubillah). Quran is speech of Allah subhanahu wa ta`ala it has no power to harm or protect or harm any body. This type of lectures are pulling Muslims away from truth and immersing them big sins.

At this point of topic, I'm sorry I had to disagree with you Shaykh, or to any of the former shahaby who said and think it was no sirk. It is perhaps is not sirk, OK. But think about this. If using physical copy of holy Qur'an as protection, AND IT'S WORKING, meaning they could get BAROKAH, then, THIS IS RIDICULOUS. AT this point of time when science and technology, I mean the state of the art gadget that each and every youngsters had in their hands. I.e computers and hand phones, THEY CAN REPLACE THEIR RELIGIOUS PRACTICES BY THEIR GADGETS. They just play the recitations of Qur'an or even worst RECORDED THEIR PRAYERS from subuh to isya, and played the recordings to replace the sholah. THEN THIS IS THE DISASTER!!! IF THIS KIND OF IDEA IS OK AND NOT SIRK, AND IS WORKING, THEN THE DIGITAL MUSLIMS WOULD CERTAINLY watch video of jannah live in form of mp4 FROM HELL THE DIGITAL MUSLIMS WOULD CERTAINLY ENTER THE HELL BECAUSE THE NEVER PERFORMED SHOLAH. BUT ALLAH KEEPS REWARDIBG THOSE DIGITAL MUSLIMS WITH JANNAH, ONLY IT IS IN THE FORM OF MP4. MEANING THEY WERE IN HELL WATCHING MOVIES ABOUT JANNAH THAT'S WHY MY AQLUI AND NAQLI IS AGAINST ANY IF YHIS KIND OF TAFSEER. NO MATTER WHO SAID IT
