theres almost too much depth to cars people wanted it to just be a film about racing it feels like and simpler...the amount of effort that went into it is amazing actually....considering it was going to make money just by being about cars selling merch and being a pixar film..

Every time I see Doc Hudson all those memories of childhood, seeing him teach Mcqueen and his crash story come flooding back. It felt me with such sympathy for him, so to see him in Cars 3 even though Paul Newman was dead, I cried tears of joy. *Rest in peace Paul Newman* ❤

i am SO happy to see cars get the love it deserves. i feel like the biggest reason why it's considered "bad" is because it comes from pixar and while it isn't some pixar masterpiece, it's such a comforting movie and makes some great points about rural towns etc. (which sits really close to my heart as country development is something i want to work with once i finish up uni) and is unapologetically fun!! like, there are so many bad movies out there and this isn't one of them

Directed by John Lasseter who while taking his family on a trek across America became inspired to make a movie about a racecar who gets arrested and must perform community service by repairing a road. Also featuring Michael Keaton as Chick Hitchens and Larry the Cable Guy as Mater a tow truck. With Paul Newman as Doc Hudson

It's cool you got some actual Nascar drivers in here such as Richard Petty (the king) and his wife Lynda, plus Darrel Waltrip and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Also The King's wreck at the end is pretty much the exact crash Rusty Wallace has at Talledega in 1993

I have seen this movie over 20 x (not exaggerating ) and I still love every minute of it. I even got emotional in the third one when lightening crashes I remember when it first came out and I was so amazed how real it all looked, the tires, the roads, back in the early 2000's I was so impressed

21:57 - Never understand why people dump on Doc for calling the press. He was doing Lightning a favor. Lifelong goal about to be lost forever, leaving behind nothing but regrets and wondering what could have been (even if he had a good life), unless someone steps in to make sure he makes that race (anyone else live with regrets?!).

Fun facts: 1) One of the racers at the beginning has number 84 and is sponsored by Apple. This company was founded in 1984. 2) Mia and Tia (the twin fangirls) flashing their lights at McQueen is an adult joke referencing fangirls that... emm... flash their other parts, to put it delicately. 3) The Dinoco company first appeared in Toy Story. It was the refueling station where Woody and Buzz got lost at night before getting to Pizza Planet. 4) The full name of Chick's sponsor is Hostile Takeover Bank. Now THAT is one fitting option. 5) And number A113, of course. Here it's Mater's number

Unpopular opinion: cars 2 is a cinematic masterpiece. Ha ha ha. Just kidding. I do love the third one the best. I like the cinematography and the theme that many can relate to now. Tradition vs. technology and the young vs. old. They even had a woman struggling to make it in a profession dominated by men. But it didn’t feel too “woke”. Just a fun story that explores these issues:

All i can think about when it comes to this franchise is that there's car pope... and that means there's a car Jesus... So what car is car Jesus?!?!? And there's jeeps from WWII which implies there's car Hitler?!?!? And a car holocaust?!?! So what are those cars?!?!?! So many questions.... 🙃

I genuinely remember when I was much younger living back in the Pacific Northwest, and my Parents would always take me on scenic routes throughout the countryside. That line, "Cars didn't drive on this road to make good time, they drove on the road to HAVE a good time." That line always brings me back to those days.... Even years later, my Dad and I would set a specific route for somewhere, and the destination would have other plans. I truly have lived through the famous quote, "It's not the destination that matters, it's the journey you take to get there." Sometimes when you end up somewhere you never planned to be, trust me when I say that's when the greatest memories are made🚗🗺❤Sometimes, it really is nice to just slow down and let the road guide you to where you actually need to be😊

CARS IS MY FAVORITE FRANCHISE EVER!! Also, Darrell is a Monte Carlo because the real Darrell owns one. So he can't be a RV. I love this movie so much. I named a pet chicken "Bessie" from this movie and my dad had a gas station on Route 66 in his youth and went out of business because of the interstate. Just like this film! The mountains are also based off artwork from Cadillac Ranch. The movie calls it "Cadillac Range". Also fun fact. Ramone is voiced by Cheech Marin who also did the voice for Banzai (hyena) in the 1994 Lion King! Also 15:20, that quote from Sally is my favorite line from this film. I say it all the time.

Written and directed by John Lasseter about when he took his family on a road trip around Route 66 starring Owen Wilson as Lightning McQueen, a hotshot racer who ended up in a 3-way tie who while driving towards California Mac falls asleep causing Lightning McQueen to get stuck in Radiator Springs due to a sentence from Doc Hudson voiced by Paul Newman. The villain Chick Hitchens is voiced by Michael Keaton. The King is voiced by Richard Petty
