In a world where the towns are peopled with cars, and even the bugs are mini motors, a young ambitious racing car called Lightning McQueen is a star. In case you didn’t know. The fabulous Hudson hornet was a real race car in the nascar(national association for stock car auto racing) series. Hudson hornet being the make and model of the vehicle. Also everyone is based off of real vehicles. Lightning is a corvette c5, chick hicks is a Buick grand national, doc like I said was a Hudson hornet, list goes on. Also actor who voices the king is or was a nascar racer as well. NASCAR is actually quite interesting when you look into it

The announcers, Bob Cutlass is an homage to Bob Costas, a long time sports announcer. Darrell Cartrip is Darrell Waltrip, a long time NASCAR driver who is now an announcer. The King is Richard Petty, also a famous racer. Junior is Dale Earnhardt, Jr. The list goes on and on. I've watched many reactions to this movie, you are the first to notice that the background landscapes are in the shape of cars. Great stuff! Keep it up. There are actually 3 Cars movies, plus, there was a spinoff starring Mater, but they are just short animations called Mater's Tall Tales. They were aired on the Disney Channel in between shows just to fill time slots.

Heartwarming, isn't it? Pixar sent people out on Route 66 for research and got actual race drivers and announcers to voice the characters. The King was voiced by Richard Petty, one of the greatest of all time, and the blue car with the wing was what he drove back in the day when I was growing up. The flys were miniature VW Beetles which were known as "Bugs", hence the characterization. This movie always hits me in the feels. P.S., the word you were looking for was "counter steering".

I visited Italy a few years ago & went to a Ferrari museum where all the cars on display were Ferraris that had been in films. They had one with eyes in the windscreen like Lightning McQueen.

2010 Dodge Challenger 1955 Packard Clipper Custom 1940 DeSoto S7 "Staff Car" 1962 Triumph TR4.......... In my defense I blame facebook marketplace. Its a dangerous place for me to be allowed on to.........😅 But yea, I'm one of those people who got "bit by the automotive bug" as it were when I was a little kid. Teslas are cool in their own right too! I know a lot of car people hate on em, but they are perfect for some people! Joe Ranft, who the movie is dedicated to, unfortunatley (and tragiclally ironically) died in a car crash one year before Cars hit theaters. He was the co-director of this movie and voiced Red the Firetruck and Peterbilt. He didn't just voice Heimlich, Lenny and Wheezy in A Bug's Life, Toy Story 1 and 2 respectivley but he also voiced Peter "Claws" Ward in Monsters, Inc (another scarer was named Ranft, a name cameo), Jaques the Cleaning Shrimp in Finding Nemo (his brother Jerome took over for him in Finding Dory) and did a bit voice role in The Incredibles. He also was a storyboard artist and story man for several Disney and Pixar movies including Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Oliver & Company, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Fantasia 2000, Monsters, Inc. and Cars plus The Brave Little Toaster, The Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach (the former two he also voiced Elmo St. Peters and The Clown in Toaster and Igor in Christmas) plus being The Executive Producer on Tim Burton's Corpse Bride (which was also dedicated to him).

I drove a used Chevy for 12 years before picking up a brand new BMW. I don't know if it's a case of being able to get a BMW after saving up 12 years with an old Chevy, or if the reason I reached out for a BMW was because I was stuck in a used Chevy for 12 years. 39:30 I have scraped a bit of tire rubber off that BMW driving past horse ranches through the canyons out of the Aerospace Valley and ended up in some haunted hotel near the coast (didn't know it was haunted until I checked in at the lobby).

This alongside Incredibles were my favorites from pixar when I was younger, I loved the emotion/wholesome feel from this Cars and it’s why it had the most replay value from me as a kid even though it drove my older brother crazy, while it’s so many opinions, this is by far personally my favorite out the trilogy of Cars, personally Cars 2 is okay but not my cup of tea in terms replay value but Cars 3 brings back parts of the vibe that I loved from the 1st Cars

I’m 25 now but, that saying is what my granddad would always tell me and I would never get the joke!😂 WOW! After all those years I finally get it‼️😂 weird thing is, is that I had a accident on the freeway and I flew off my motorcycle and landed back first and cracked the back of my skull…. My doctor told me that I had a 85% chance that I’ll never remember my past! I do BELIEVE in MIRACLES & this is 1 of them! Memories isn’t something everyone can have but everyone wants! Fun fact: 1. McQueen is a rear driving car, we see proof of that at the opening scene when he lost rear tires and cannot move anymore 2. The trick that Doc Hudson teaches/demonstrates at dirt road will work only for front driving cars(or 4x4). That actually ruins plot of the second movie, and finale of the first. It is impossible to reequip McQueen before tie breaker race, so he would not be able to save himself at the end of the race, there would not be any reason to cause crash, and for McQueen to demonstrate character growth.

Countersteer works for rear wheel drive cars, too. You're breaking the rear wheels loose through power and keeping the front end aligned for the exit by taking the friction out the front end by the countersteeer.
