@@tapedex Wii version runs at 60fps, GameCube version runs at 30fps. The difference is noticeable. I say this as I just ran both versions on my Wii and I found myself constantly going to the Wii version for better performance.

This brings back childhood memories and I think the Wii version has the second best graphics and I wish that they fixed the AI for the piston cup racers to drive like in Nascar how the Nascar drivers drive.

the reason why they made the AI like this is to make it harder for the player to pass the cars if they would've made each AI drive the same path it would not only be boring but also easy to pass which is not what the player is supposed to experience while racing

My imaginary thought about the AI for the piston cup racers is that if they made it like Nascar how normally they don't out perform other cars and if they drive in the same paths it would be just like a challenge where you can't out perform them you can pass though but it would tough to try to go faster than the other piston cup racers and my imaginary thought also is that in the race mode not story mode you can customize how long you want the race to be like how many laps you want for the piston cup race.

what do you mean costumize how long the race lasts? there is no such thing in this game as customizing laps or anything like that, all you can "customize" is how the AI acts if they're supposed to be easy or a bit harder

What I mean is how many laps do you want for an example like usually there's 12 laps for the piston cup race you can imagine if you want more laps like 50 laps or 100 laps something like that just customize how long you want the piston cup race to last it's just my imaginary thought for the piston cup race.

I just watched a video of this game and this guy was using a mod where all 20 racers for the piston cup race try to win the race and they were all driving on the same path and I was like "Yes that's what I wish the piston cup race is like." You gotta watch it it's called "Cars the video game true brutalization." You'll be surprised.

My question is when I looked up Lightning's top speed on Google and it said 200 mph in the game why did they make him a little slower than 200 like in the game Lightning's top speed is 180 mph?

Lightnings top speed is reduced by 20 only on road races, on piston cup races however he normally can go up to 200

A bit late but cars usually dont go as fast if the road is dirt because they have less grip. On concrete like a race track they almost glide through them.
