Cars 2006 is one of the best open world games of all time no doubt. The perfect recreation of Radiator Springs, the attention to detail and how fun it is to play, is one of those games that you can play over and over again and you don't get burned.

I'm not sure if you guys ever had this, and it's gonna be hard to describe, but it was a Lightning McQueen replica where you can slide the top, and it will reveal a qwerty keyboard. You could play quite a few different mini games, whether with the keyboard or with it being vertical. It was so much fun.

As much as I like Mater-National and Race-o-Rama, the original Cars game was the best out of the 3. Radiator Springs and its surroundings felt more alive and full, and it's crazy how adding music in the free roam experience makes driving around the map more fun. I know that there are more characters to play as, more different tracks and new areas in the following games, but they feel bland in my opinion. Also Piston Cup races with Lynyrd Skynyrd, the All-American Rejects or Autopilot Off playing in the background were really cool.

When I was little the original console game that came out in 2006 was all I would play on my GameCube. I played it again last week for the nostalgia and it was just as good as I remember it being, wish they'd remaster it with some new graphics but it'll always be one of my favorite games.
