I’m comparing the Luxury LBX to a similarly priced Toyota CHR and a Renault Megan e-tech. There are big differences in specs of the cars. Once I have test driven all three it will be easier tell which one is best.
@Brendo953 ай бұрын
So, how’d you go?
@DJAYPAZ3 ай бұрын
@@Brendo95 I opted for the CHR. The LBX was very good but the rear sear legroom was very small. Wait time for delivery was around 6 months. The Megane E-tech was also very good but less safety tech than the CHR. The Toyota was available immediately.

@@DJAYPAZ Just taken out a CHR on a test drive. Great comfort but the Lexus (What Car car of the year) was superior in luxury and it didn't have that horrible Ipad type screen. Both great cars.
@DJAYPAZ2 ай бұрын
@ Thanks for replying. Agreed they are both great cars. The paint finish of the Lexus is better than the CHR. One of the deciding factors for me was rear seat legroom. The CHR has more than the Lexus. Ultimately availability was the final factor that steered me to the CHR. At the time of purchase it was one week versus 6 months.

If it had a slightly bigger engine with the same price, id be more keen!

I think they could've spared some efficiency for the sake of better performance. It is a premium car after all and would have made the price an easier pill to swallow for this class.

Agreed, the lack of power could be a problem.
@DJAYPAZ2 ай бұрын
After driving the car for over 3000 kilometres I don't think there is a lack of power. When driven in sport mode the Koba CHR has good acceleration and throttle response. I guess it comes down to what a buyer wants.
@cristi7242 ай бұрын
@@DJAYPAZ As far as I know the CHR comes with 4 cylinder engines only, maybe your market is different, the LBX is a 3 cylinder. If you're talking about the 2.0 Hybrid that can come on the CHR, that is plenty fast, but this LBX has a much less powerful drivetrain.

When Lexus CT200H was sold back in 2016 it was actually a worthwhile purchase because the price was in 30K range. Now you can get a way better Kia or a Hyandai around the same price. They are as reliable as Toyotas/Lexus and are fun to drive. There is absolutely no way this is worth 54K - 64K.

A Corolla hatch sized Lexus would be awesome to have again. Shame they only make stupid SUVs and very large sedans now.

Nope. A Yaris with a different badge and some leather is still a glorified overpriced Yaris. How can they call it a Lexus product when it doesn’t even have rear aircon vents and a back arm rest. Just spend the extra $5k for a Euro. Toyota and Lexus are now run by accountants, not engineers. Crap product.

@@Allanhyde264 In this segment the rear passengers are not a priority in comfort or features for any brand. You don't buy this car for roadtrips or taxi, you buy it for 1-2 people, with at most one kid, so they can zip around to places on the cheap. They are very small in the back, really not comfortable for mid-long rides, and having the AC on in the front is enough to cool the whole car very fast.
