Subaru Engine Go Kart Swap on a Budget!

Our off road go kart project named Pugly (because it's ugly and kind of looks like a Pug) has a damaged 107cc three speed engine after we put it up against our mini ATV in early 2018. We recently got a 7 horsepower 211cc Subaru Robin overhead cam engine from one of our viewers at our Mini Mayhem meet, so we figured we'd treat this like we were teenagers on a budget! So with a cheap used go kart frame with a bad engine, an engine a friend found for us, and a few parts from Go Power Sports, we make it run!

It's nice that you're doing lower price projects. You are helping out a neglected group from other you tubers. Garage sales in the spring and fall are great sources of small engines. Sometimes someone might not be able to buy a new carb. Showing how to clean a carb and install a rebuild kit might help.

take the cylinder and rod off the old engine, block off the cylinder hole with a plate, remount it between the clutch and axle and use it as a transmission...
