The Blue has everything you Need. If you want to upscale from the Blue, you don't Need a Limited, you should be looking at a SONATA!

I did buy the Sonata 2 weeks ago. The drive by wire takes a little getting used to but it's beautiful inside and out. Driving mostly sensibly, 25% city and 75% highway, I got 42.7mpg this is including a couple times when I floored it because someone had taken up residence in my blind spot. The drive by wire seems to maintain the speed and engine RPM until you hit a big hill so taking your foot off the accelerator doesn't guarantee you slow down for 15-30 seconds. Only one time have I hit the paddle shift to make it upshift as I was tooling around at 30mph and 2k RPM, 1.3k RPM after paddle upshifting. Maybe the car hasn't learned me yet and will settle down when it has a firm grasp of my driving habits. That 8 speed DCT transmission is smooth.

i have both, a sonata limited and a elantra h limited (wife car), the better value is the later, the better car is actually also the later. price wise it was 36k vs 30.5k so there is that, only difference was 3d parking, cameras for blindspot turns signals, and remote backward forward remote thingimajig? while the elantra actually dives more planted,sportier, it basically handles better than the sonata. both has the drive by wire btw, and i agreed it feels wierd especially with the lane keep on.

That was a very thorough comparison. I've watched that right before heading to the dealership. I had the Blue version in my mind, but I decided to buy Limited after watching this video. Thank you again for your concise presentation.

I own the 2023 Elantra limited hybrid. I was going to trade in my car for the 2024 Elantra limited hybrid for three simple reasons. Blind spot turn signal, rear air conditioner vents and the new front fascia. Now that I know that there are only two of the three options that I did not get would you trade for the 24 model?
@Ruacasa8 ай бұрын
No, the changes aren’t worth it if you already own a 2023. Stick with it for a future update. For example Canada got heated steering wheel and 360 degree camera. Those should show up in future US models
@CarsMadeSimple8 ай бұрын
I would keep your 2023 model. I was expecting the 360 camera system on the 2024 Hybrid Limited but was shocked they didn't carry it over from the gas model. That isn't like Hyundai but it could be a production constraint where they are built.
@Cinder-g2o7 ай бұрын
You might want to doublecheck on the rear air vents. I dont know where you live, but if youre in the US market none of the Elantra's come with rear air vents. although the korean spec model does offer them and you can buy conversion kits to make the US model do it, but off the dealer lot it is not offered.

same. I have 2023 elantra hybrid limited too. I was hesitating just same as you for new tech on 2024 elantra or sonata hybrid ,but I decide to wait for next new generation since there has to be more tech add to it.

I love my 2024 Blue trim. I wish the light bar continued across the entire front like the new Sonata, and my other wish would be the Blue got the adaptive cruise control. Otherwise I can happily live without all the limited trim options in favor of the higher MPG you get with the Blue. Speaking of that MPG... my experience with the car is the EPA ratings are way off. Mine says 51 city / 58 highway. I see the opposite. Mine averages more like 60 city / 50 highway. Great review but one correction to your video. You mentioned the LED lit strip on the decklid... My Blue trim model did come with that. If the marker lights are on itll have the entire rear LED "H" lit up, and the two LED lights at the top of the headlight housings as well.

You're right on the lights. I didn't notice it but just checked and it does have them on the car.

yea. Elantra hybrid totally win Prius in term of MPG while on freeway, but Prius will win elantra hybrid while on city driving. I was comparing both cars since my friend has 2023 Prius while I am driving 2023 elantra hybrid. Think my best record while driving on freeway for 50 miles is 69MPG. I have totally different experience with you maybe because I am living in busy LA which has alot of traffic lights.
@Cinder-g2o7 ай бұрын
@@wulongchai yea thats probably why. I live in Arizona so my highway driving is alot of elevation changes and the hyundai has to run the gas motor alot to keep at the 75mph speedlimit. In the city though I dont have anywhere near the congestion and stoplights that you have, so im able to cruise at 35mph city speeds on mainly EV power. either way i think the cars MPG is very impressive. I wanted the Sonata hybrid but there is no telling when Hyundai is going to release it.

Great review. I have a 24' Kona Limited that got the wireless Android Auto update... it would be surprising if that update was not across all the models using the same clusters/infotainment. 🤔 Hyundai's pricing for Standard/Limited upgrades is well calculated. Blue is better as a PHEV, while the Limited is slightly worse as a PHEV but much more premium. I heard the Blue can get up to 60 sustained highway. I will always get Limited trims for Hyundai, because I love the tech.
@CarsMadeSimple7 ай бұрын
Thank you! I agree that Hyundai seems to price the trims pretty well in comparison to certain other manufacturers. This is one of the comparisons were I feel confident recommending the Limited over the Blue for the price differential.

i chose the hybrid mainly for the DCT tranny, didnt like hyundai CVT that is on the gas elantra. the DCT is an unknown reliability factor, while the CVT is a known problem in Hyundai past vehicles that still persist. time will tell but it was my determining choice at the time of purchase. i also chose limited due to the leather heated and cooled seat. the blue is crazy value at 25k when compare with other hybrids out there.

I favor better fuel efficiency in hybrid Blue over additional options, mostly not frequently used, in the Limited model.

Just bought the 2024 Blue Trim, better gas mileage. The Elantra really owes every penny of its sucess to its predecessor - The Ioniq Blue, have for 5 years and would not trade it.
@MakoCrisisVII.13 күн бұрын
I was thinking of getting the ioniq blue as well or getting an elantra new or used. How is that ioniq treating you? Would you recommend a used ioniq over the elantra new or used?
@perucho219413 күн бұрын
@@MakoCrisisVII. Its been a good car, reliable and excellent gas mileage. The Elantra is a little bigger and gives a little less mpg. I would get the new elantra-blue if I could negotiate $2,000 off. All in all, it would depend on what the mileage, maintenance & price for the used Ioniq would turn out to be. Hope it helps

Do both trim models have the ambient lighting?

Any Elantra with the 10.25" screen should have ambient lighting on the dash. It's very minimal but something you would see at night.
