you can press and hold on the camera screen to lock the focus..

Try adding a drop of liquid under the cover slip. I think the frosting effect might be for reducing glare.

Curious to know; does the base still wobble when you use the plastic slide that was included with the microscope? I wonder if it is perhaps a little thicker than the glass slides.

How to clean the microscope because every time I go to 250x or 200x it shows random black spots of the microscope even if I’m not facing the microscope anywhere

I have a question. By 250x do you mean that the objective is 25 and then it goes up to 250? Or is the objective 250 and go up to 2500?

for $15 it's very good!!!carson makes cheap and good products!even with a "proper" microscope you can't find what you want to see easily, but usually has better leds.

There seems to be something blocking my view. Can only see light and nothing else through the lens. It doesn't matter what I change the focus to just can't see anything. SO frustrating! Any suggestions? Thanks! ✌️😊

Are you using it like a telescope? If so then thats probably your problem.

It's not that hard to focus at all. You have to realize that when you're focusing on a 3d object that not the whole object can be in focus. And the clip is more than strong enough. Any stronger and it would crack the screen. Your phone is just too bulky.

The phone adapter total garbage !!! UV lite won't work while the slide is up...???Really.really hard to focus on whatever you're trying to look at...Bud can be right underneath the stupid thing..and shows nothing..Not for looking at trichomes on your plants..If I wanted to look at slides I'd buy a real microscope.....Who gives shit about feather and onion slides ???? Wanted a portable hand held scope for buds....Dont waste your money on this one !

I think it's intended more as an intermediary between hand-held loupes or magnifiers, and a full size field microscope. I don't have the MP-250, but I have the Carson MM-300, which is similar, minus the cellphone clip and slide holder. Even with that one, using it in hand is difficult, but that's less the fault of the microscope, and more that it's very difficult to hand hold anything steadily enough for 120-250 magnification.
