Because they want you to spend them, not keep accumulating them like regular Tokens. Think of them like Drive Syndicate Coins. Use them or lose them...

Above 33k season tokens, it doesn't matter, really; you'll get the maximum amount of tokens out of the conversion rate at 33k

Seasonal Tokens were basically Syndicate Coins only more valuable and easier to collect. I'll definitely miss them after this season but then again we still have Tokens to pick up the slack. 🥴 Before this Season ends I'll invest my Seasonal Tokens to try and star up the Zenvo TSR-S in anticipation of unlocking the key in a future event.... because I'm also going to buy its PHONK animated decal as well. 😏 PS: Is it me or has the end of MP Season league rewards been completely stripped away. I hit CLAIM after MP1 and MP2 season ends expecting either the Credit or Blueprint rewards and get nothing... 😕
