Hello: We recommend starting at the lower magnification, 100x for the MP-250, and trying to get a simple object into focus. Make sure the object is flat. If using the slide tray the item needs to be transparent or translucent. Turn the focus knob to one side fully, then turn it back until an image starts to appear clear. Once the item is slightly visible, turn the focus knob very slowly until the image is very clear. If you go too far the image will become blurry again, just turn the knob back until it becomes clear again. Once you know the object is visible at a lower magnification, move to the higher magnification without moving the object. Again you will need to focus, which will be more difficult at higher magnifications. Repeat the steps above to get the image clear. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hi: The MicroFlip comes with a smartphone digiscoping clip, 1 starter slide with cover slip and a wrist strap for convenient portability. You will be able to see bacteria with the MicroFlip, but not viruses.

If its just water, then just use a damp microfiber cloth and wipe off external lens surfaces, slide holder, etc. any surfaces in the light’s path. If its dirty water, then after it dries, you can dust off debris with a brush like our lens cleaner, then use a liquid or other lens cleaner to clean all the optical surfaces.

Hi Karol: This microscope is not powerful enough to see human blood. To see human blood, you need about 1,000x. We recommend you see a Dr. or specialist for blood & sperm testing. Good luck!

Hi Avi: Pocket Microscopes & Compound Microscopes have completely different price points. The benefit of a Pocket Microscope is that they are affordable & portable. Our Pocket Microscopes are extremely popular. You are correct though, a Pocket Microscope isn't the best solution for every situation. Hope this helps!

Compared to conventional lab microscopes, such as a compound biological microscopes, the optical system is the same - an eyepiece and objective lens system. A pocket microscope has great optics, just at a lower magnification range and field of view, compared to an expensive large tabletop version. The power stated is optical, although the phone may zoom digitally beyond that, the phone attachment is just to be able to save images. Pocket microscopes allow for an amazing optical microscope at a great price. Hope this helps!
