Johnny Carson was indeed a National Treasure because the longer that he was on that show the better he got he was an absolutely brilliant quick-witted man that had so many fabulous comedian actors and important people on his show and always had respect for them and had a good time with them it's absolutely ashamed that he had to so long ago now passed away because people really miss the brilliancy of this man and how many careers he helped launch into Fame it was what a terrible loss for this country that every night at 11:30 we had great entertainment and unbelievable humor and the people that he brought to the Forefront to catapult their initial talents and skills into stardom is truly amazing and what a great talent he was and I'm sorry to know that Ed McMahon is long gone also because he was a good sidekick for Johnny Carson and from buddy had get to so many others of the great comedians Richard Pryor George Carlin and so many others that he had on that show from Rodney Dangerfield Jerry Seinfeld and even Jeff Dunham there are so many brilliant that's too long of a list to mention of the brilliant amazing talent that He had on his show thank you so much Johnny Carson for what you did for America and its really a great loss to this nation because so many great people had their careers quadrupled into infamy with brilliant actors actresses Comedians and so many of them have now passed away and what a tragedy to lose all of these great people I really miss all of them thank you for showing this I really enjoyed watching almost all of the Johnny Carson shows I even purchased his it was a whole thing on time life history of these shows and I bought the DVD collection of Johnny Carson shows and it only showed a small portion of all that he had done and over 30 years so thank you thank you for bringing these things back to life because they are truly a National Treasure they really are thank you

My have times changed. I would think that today, actors hide their spiritual beliefs. How wonderful to see this. Even Billy Graham was on the show.

Billy Graham is an interesting choice considering Carson wasn't particularly religious. If you are to believe his former lawyer, Henry Bushkin, Johnny woukd have loved to have debated him about his beliefs. I agree with you though, it sure is nice seeing people for the most part, not being afraid to express their beliefs.

The best interviewer, the best entertainer, the quickest wit! RIP Johnny - you are still the King of Late Night. And we still miss you. And wow - I didn’t realize Joanne Pflug was married to Chuck Woollery!

There is nothing like Johnny Carson's humor, just the way he came at things was hilarious. He wasmaster of the nuance.

Poverty finally hit Beverly Hills, WOW!!! If only he could see California today, he wouldn't even know what to say and he'd have to think twice about saying it, God how disgusting things have gotten and how far we've fallen!!!😢

Great way of putting it. Disgusting is the word which best describes the times we live in. Squallor and vulgarity rule the day.

Dave Thomas on Second City did Bob Hope extremely well. Rick Moranis as Woody Allen and Hope went golfing in one very funny skit.

Little did we know the "affects and effects" of the 1973 Oil Embargo, life went downhill for many shortly thereafter, and never returned to pre-embargo norms.
