Probably because it's Penske's last year in CART. Him going to the IRL was the writing on the wall about the future of CART

The start of an Indycar legend just stunning and hugely emotional as well for PacWest and Bruce McCaw after team mate Mauricio Gugelmin withdrew from the race after his disabled son tragically passed away due to respiratory complications on Thursday before the race and they hadn't won since Fontana 97 with Mark Blundell.

my dad and I were at this race, amazing how the day before Dixon didnt have any sponsor, big mo had his unfortunate happening with his son and missed the race, so they took mo's sponsor and put it on dixon. Amazing watching him hold up brack those last 30 laps....amazing. and also a big shout out to nakano putting his car in 2nd for all those laps.

Scott Dixon's first and only career CART win. The rest of his wins have come in what is now know as the Verizon IndyCar Series

i was visiting my friend who lives in Easton PA a few months back and we were driving on some back road and i saw signs for "Nazareth Speedway", yeah there was nothing there anymore, damn shame

this place or the old trenton NJ track need to be re-created somewhere anywhere in the US to run indy and nascar races again....if ur not familiar with trenton's layout, it was the only oval ive ever seen that had a right handed kink in the backstretch with high banked oval turns.

Why couldn't ABC call this race by its actual name, the Lehigh Valley Grand Prix? Like, there was no sponsor in the race name anymore, so why did they still called it the 'Nazareth 225' like they did since 1998?

track is totally gone now, no stands just weeds and dirt lot.....its a shame....
