Its amazing, this race feels so different to this race in 2000 and earlier, something was just missing

Geez, did they ever get to do post race interviews in 2001?!

They did post race interviews in the 90's,but they were usually taped and shown after what ever was going on

Why Nicolas Minassian got fired from CGR?

CART było świetne, dzisiejsze Indy Car to już nie to. Z przyjemnością wracam do tamtych wyścigów.

This was Nicolas Minassian's last AOWR race. Chip Ganassi replaced him with Memo Gidley before the next race at Portland, who was without a ride after Della Penna Motorsports shut down operations after the previous season. BTW, can somebody please tell me what caused that driver change? There's nothing on here that talks about it?

Maybe Minassian wasn't meeting expectations?

was this sixth round because the texas round cancelled?

Do you remember the season of the Texas motor speedway? I lived in Dallas, and it was a brand new billion dollar monster of a track. Big banked ovals for NASCAR, where you almost drove sideways . Qualifying for Champ cars lasted about 15 minutes. The drivers were actually blacking out at the wheel.Open wheeled 1000 HP cars are not made for such a banked fast track. Of course the drivers refused to drive there. It would be suicide.

This race highlights why Honda left the series, the bullshit CART started was what began the death clock for the series.

You mean the IRL started, and that was the death clock for the series. Tony George was just an egomaniac. The most hated man in racing. 2001 they had set a record season crowd. They were averaging over 100,000 people a race.
